在我生命中有位很特別的"前"男人，在我們那若有似無曖昧不清的三年裡，我從不敢聲稱他是我的男友，分隔兩地再加上倔強與瀟灑性格作祟及其他種種溝通問題，讓我們成為了彼此生命中最大的遺憾。

但最讓我衝擊最深的是"Wife"跟"Twins"這兩個字，這兩個我從不認為會在短期間出現在他生命中的兩個字，竟然出現在我們久違的對話當中，很難形容我心中的感覺。雖然他一次次重申當初的心意，但對我而言只留下了"I'm just not the one"的感覺，一個我覺得我一試再試也無法突破的困境，竟輕易的被另一個女人達成，或許真的是timing的問題，但事實就是事實，不容狡辯。

這兩年，經歷了很多的失去，這樣的體會及學習讓我更加珍惜我現在所擁有的一切，遺憾已造成，而一切也已不復當年，我現在該面對的是我現在的感情與幸福，握在手上的就不該輕易讓他溜掉。

4F Cooking Home - Breakfast at Tiffany's 第凡內早餐

連續兩天造訪4F，而今天上的課是第凡內早餐Breakfast at Tiffany's，這是我在4F的第6堂課，但也是我第一次上4F靈魂人物Eta的課，所以也想趁這個機會接觸一下這位創造並實現這個溫馨空間的女主角。因為我們早起及每早一杯咖啡的習慣，weekday的早餐通常都是咖啡配上簡單的麵包加上水果或沙拉，weekend因為時間較充裕，我也會準備比較多東西，所以看到課程內容時，也想看能不能為我們餐桌激發出更多不同的變化。

要是把今天所有的料理都呈現在一餐，這真的是非常豐盛的一個Brunch，一開始就由原味舒芙蕾開場，連著兩天嘗到不同口味的舒芙蕾，只能說我真是幸福啊!!

手工佛卡夏麵包 Handmade Focaccia

對於歐式麵包，我總有著特殊的偏好，對於這種可以直接嘗到穀物原始的甜味或是簡單調味的麵包，我偏好的程度只排名在日式紅豆麵包之後，一直有想要嘗試在家作Focaccia但總未開始，所以這次總算有機會完整看到整個製作流程，其實只要有過麵包製作經驗，作Focaccia應該都不會有太大的問題，標準的攪拌>第一次發酵>整形調味>第二次發酵>烘烤，這次是加橄欖及迷迭香調味，單吃味道很好，但這次是用來當三明治，最後味道有點過重也有點過鹹，其實就原始的橄欖油及海鹽調味來做三明治應該就會很好吃了!

鄉村風蘑菇沙拉 Mushroom Salad

食譜上沙拉醬原本的配方是調紅酒醋，不過Eta臨時想再調另一種以檸檬酸味的沙拉醬讓大家嘗嘗，最後大家都比較比較喜歡檸檬自然的酸味，Eta再轉頭從醬料櫃上拿出一瓶陳年Basamico及一開始就為可麗餅煮的草莓果醬，讓大家嘗試不同的沙拉淋醬口味，光這個沙拉醬就有無限的變化，而我也學習到以這個以玻璃瓶來shake沙拉醬的小動作，這讓調沙拉醬更加簡單輕鬆!!

普羅旺斯香草歐姆蛋 Herbs-Flavored Omellete in Provence Style

大部分的Omellete都是用煎的，這次Eta介紹以烤箱烘烤的方式，口感比較像是烘蛋與一般Omellete軟嫩濕滑的口感不太一樣，不過Eta說因為只在烤盤上上了一層薄薄的奶油，所以應該較不油膩，不過可能因為我做Omellete是用不沾鍋也只塗上一點點奶油増加香氣，所以我分辨不太出油膩的差異，反倒覺得這樣的做法呈現的texture比較硬，不過用烤箱真的是簡單多了，只要調好蛋汁放進烤箱烘烤就好了!

焙烤芥末蜂蜜火腿 Roasted Honey Mustard Ham

蜂蜜芥末醬是一個非常好用的醬料，除了烤火腿，也可烤雞，煮義大利麵，當沾醬或調沙拉醬，不過這樣的料理方式最好還是使用第戎芥末醬，味道較對，這也是到簡單的料理，只需將洋蔥切片舖在烤盤底層，再放上塗滿蜂蜜芥末醬的火腿，這次一半是原味，另一半作成歐洲聖誕節時常見的柳橙丁香口味，在烘烤時需每10分鐘左右再塗上一層蜂蜜芥末醬，讓香味可以進去火腿也讓表層烘烤出焦糖化的脆脆表層，味道真的還不錯，不過或許因為今天的菜色都有點鹹，連著吃下來舌頭有點撐不住。

義式帕尼尼三明治 Italian Panini Sandwich

這次的三明治是夾芝麻菜及燻雞肉，再用烤盤加熱押痕，Focaccia的表面更是酥脆，一口咬下清脆聲不斷，Foccacia的麵包香味再加上生菜，起司及燻雞肉，每一口都有豐富的味道。

瑞可塔起司紅莓可麗餅 Strawberry Crepe Ricotta Cheese

女人的胃總是為甜點保留一個神奇的空間，今天準備的是當季的草莓，酸酸甜甜的自然香味再加上Ricotta起司的味道，真的是很好的組合，之前也在家裡做過crepe或pancake，麵糊真的是美味的基礎，細滑的麵糊才能創造出入口即化的口感，再加上全蛋的香味，真的是甜品的一個好選擇，不過crepe也可做很多不同的變化，鹹甜口味皆可，鹹的變化可能還有燻鮭魚加時蘿及Sour Creme或其他creme類，應該也是不錯的選擇!

預計過完年三月初會再回到北京，到時再好好回味這幾道料理也讓あなた嘗嘗新的變化!! Happy New Year!!

4F Cooking Home - Julie & Julia 美味關係

一月底看到4F二月的課程時，就決定一定要趁我還在台灣的時候再上幾堂課，所以看一下時間表及課程，因為春節的原因課程的選擇相對有限，就只能選擇Fabien的美味關係Julie & Julia及Eta的第凡內早餐Breakfast at Tiffany's。老實說，這些菜色也不是第一次接觸，但就想重溫4F溫暖的感覺及學習不同的做法。

第一次上4F的課就是Fabien的完全義大利A1，也因為這堂課讓我建立起了對4F深深的喜愛，之後因為時間的問題，總是沒能在上到Fabien的課，所以這次不管怎樣也想上到一堂。而Julie & Julia，也是在朋友知道我過去一年對烹飪及Le Creuset鍋具的興趣的強烈推薦下，"恰巧"在飛機上看完，對於Julie對烹飪的熱情及對自己一定要好好完成一個里程碑的堅持，讓我對於自己現階段的規劃也更有信心。前兩天看到Masa剛推出的新書 - 在廚房遇見Masa，因為在北京無法連上很多網站，也讓我也想直接帶一本過去來效法Julie嘗試"每道菜作透透"的創舉。

言歸正傳，讓我先來分享美味關係Julie & Julia的菜色:

龍蝦殺手鮮蔬沙拉 Lobster Killer Salad

番茄乳酪迷迭香塔 Tomato Tart with Rosemary Crumble

勃根地紅酒燉牛肉(附原味玉米糕) Boeuf Bourguignon with Polenta

法式巧克力舒芙蕾 Souffle au Chocolat

這是我第二次接觸到Polenta，感覺當義大利料理在台灣日漸普遍的情況下，義大利麵或燉飯好像變的有點平常，所以在競爭之下，大家就開始引進較不一樣的食材。這次的Polenta就是加熱調味作為紅酒噸牛肉的主食，味道與之前Joyce用鑄鐵烤盤在燒烤過不太一樣，就Polenta本身就是比較輕淡的甜味，還有配上紅酒牛肉汁的淳味，而之前烤過的就較有加熱過焦焦的香味，每個食材在不同的料理方式及於其他食材的配合下，都可以有無限的變化!!

容容寶貝 - 2Y

剛好在舊曆新年前一個禮拜出生的容容在今天歡度了兩周歲生日，之前就在跟大姐討論是誰要負責買蛋糕，剛好最近的我還是無事一身輕，這個重責大任就落在我身上了。所以上個禮拜就開始注意市面上適合的蛋糕選擇，因為是小朋友，所以想以卡通的設計為主，剛好在逛SOGO復興館時看到意廬有個熊貓造型的蛋糕，因為之前帶容容去動物園玩，所以他對熊貓的辨識度很高，所以就覺得這應該是個不錯的選擇。不過大姐之前說草莓牛奶BerryMilk有做一個泡芙疊起來的蛋糕，讓他們兄弟倆一個一個拿起來吃應該會比蛋糕簡單一點，不過今天下午過去買的時候，剛好意廬4吋的蛋糕在作促銷，原價$280然後特價$199，這讓我直接決定下手這個可愛的熊貓。

晚上吃完飯，端出蛋糕時，小孩子們就興奮的跳上跳下，前兩天媽就開始教容容生日快樂歌，所以今天還唱的有模有樣的，兩週歲的容容已經開始使用簡單的句子還不是單字而已，所以最近常常讓我聽到會捧腹大笑的話，有了他生活還真添加了不少趣味!!

容容寶貝 - 1Y12M

2009是容容的第二個聖誕節，也是他第一個可以真正開始玩的聖誕節，隔壁的幼稚園剛好舉辦聖誕節晚會，所以我們就一同參加也感受一下節日的氣氛，之前二姐也為妹妹製作了雪人裝，這個裝扮可讓妹妹得了個最佳服裝獎，當然容容穿起來也是可愛的讓大家一直笑聲不止!!

而快兩歲的小孩好奇心更是有增無減，看到我戴起最近購入的髮桍，他也想試試，剛好頭髮長長了還沒去修剪，戴起來還有點小女孩味，再加上媽媽教他把手指放在臉旁，更顯女孩的嬌氣!! 讓我開始覺得可以的話，我會想要有一個兒子一個女兒，畢竟男孩女孩的成長還各有各的趣味!

花家怡園

月初回北京過個週末，周六雖然溫度還是很低但因為有出太陽，所以あなた問起想出去吃些什麼時，就想起這個之前Vega造訪北京時提到的餐廳 - 花家怡園，北京的胡同及四合院應該算是特色之一，所以也有不少餐廳在美味的菜色之外也希望營造出更精緻的用餐環境，而花家怡園應該算是在此類的領導者，所以我們決定造訪在簋街的四合院店。一到門外除了那個大大的招牌外真的不覺得裡面會有個大餐廳，但一走進門還真的別有洞天，整個四合院的建築主要都規劃成包廂區，中間庭院的空間便架起棚架塑造成開放式的一般用餐空間，整個空間非常的中國味，但老實說一抬頭往上看，那鐵灰色的棚架還真的非常突兀，感覺不太搭襯。

因為只有兩人，所以我們通常都是叫兩三道有特色的料理，經服務人員介紹後，我們叫了前菜:鮮味三品及驢肉還有她們的招牌菜:霸王雞，雍正王朝烤鴨及花家白菜。前菜是看他精緻但味道還好，至於雍正王朝烤鴨，聽說是該庭院是雍正還是庸親王時的外院，所以找到了當年一些菜色的資料而改良而成的，不過老實說我覺得味道是還好，到目前為止大董烤鴨在我的排名裡還是第一，比較讓我驚艷的反倒是他們的另外兩道招牌菜:霸王雞及花家白菜，霸王雞美味的來源主要是那以麻醬為底調製而成的醬汁，讓整道菜清爽但味道非常豐富，而花家白菜更是一絕，我猜他應該是用醋來調味，所以酸酸甜甜的醬汁讓白菜更顯清甜。

幾道菜下來已經讓我們兩個吃到飽到喉嚨了，整體來說，這是家我會想再光顧的餐廳但老實說價位還不低，不過因為手上還有她們贈送的禮卷，所以我們倆打算三月找個星期五晚上再來看看她們有名的表演，之後可能就真的要有些比較特別的場合才會再出現在我的名單上嚕!!

把房門關上坐在書桌前想好好評估一下自己現在的狀況及對明年的規劃，門外傳來的是容容寶貝聲聲"阿姨"的呼喚，每聲呼喚都打進我心底，雖然不是自己懷胎十月所生，但他就像我自己的孩子，真的捨不得在他成長的這個階段長期離家，但這好像是我決定為愛奔走天涯不得不的取捨，對未來仍就有不少的不確定感，不管是工作上，感情上，還是生活上，在這變動的時刻更是明顯，但我還是得堅持相信我可以尋得最好的安排，讓我的所愛都在我身邊。

小姍!! 要幸福哦!!

小姍跟我是在澳洲雪梨建立起革命的情感的，我們兩在大一的寒假一起參加AIESEC Asia Pacific Leadership Development Seminar，在那9天左右的行程我們一行10餘人相依為命，不過那也是建立我自助旅行能力的開端。大三之後，小姍淡出AIESEC而我那年加入全國總會，渡過了我轟轟烈烈的一年，不過之前建立起的情感在我最近十年的東奔西跑之下仍是強壯，雖然我們不常見面但偶而在MSN上簡單的交談問好，也讓彼此知道近況。

所以在一個多月前，在MSN上收到小姍的邀請訊息，就把今天這個日子Mark起來，雖然當時還不確定我是否人會在台灣，但心底還是盤算盡量把這個時間排出來，畢竟這是小姍的大日子!! 雖然喜帖上寫定的開席時間是12:30，但我想早早出門，趁喜宴開始之前還可以跟小姍講上幾句話，不過當我12點到時，小姍也因為早上的行程剛剛才到喜宴現場作梳妝的動作，所以就先幾句簡單的問好及恭喜。整個婚宴真的是非常有她們兩個的風格，尤其新郎及伴郎中場表演的猛男秀和之後新娘及伴娘加入的熱舞，讓我重溫學園時代小姍對熱舞的興趣。

其實收到喜帖時，我才發覺我這群Girlfriend有個有趣的傾向，我們的對象不是這種10年愛情長跑的就是外國人或是很特殊的組合，只能說我們這群女人真的是太特別了!!

Joyce的玩味廚房

Joyce的部落格幾乎是我天天造訪的地方，他不僅提供了我菜單多樣變化的靈感也從她的文字感受到不同的生活觀點，之前就知道她定期會在圓頂市集開課，但總因為時間的關係沒有機會參加，這次剛好周六下午有空檔也因為這次的主菜是燉菜，我想藉此對新買的LC鍋的特性做進一步的了解，所以上星期就決定馬上上網報名。

之前有機會路過圓頂市集也知道她在台灣食材市場一定的地位，但總沒機會進去參觀，所以也藉這次機會好好了解了她們在販售的商品及餐廳的餐點，基本上她是以義大利料理為主調搭配上歐陸不同地區的料理，畢竟整個歐洲還算是享有某部分共同的文化，在飲食上面雖然各有特色但基調上有一定共通的地方。

這次的課程名稱是"Joyce的玩味廚房"，我覺得名字取的很貼切，Joyce給我的感覺就是料理是生活重要的一部分也是生活中趣味的主要來源，這次的菜單包括:

烙煎義大利玉米糕佐奶燴野菇

燉烤鮮蔬百里香雛雞

香橙卡士達奶油醬聖代

這次料理對我來講最特別的食材就是Polenta，而Joyce將它翻為玉米粗粒粉與一班大家使用的玉米粉(Corn Starch)作區別，回家後上網了解了一下這個新的發現，它的起源可追溯的羅馬時期，至今仍是歐陸的一種主食之一，它可以以粥品的方式呈現也可煮至湯汁收乾以糕狀呈現，糕狀的話變化更多，依據Joyce的建議它可做成像這次使用的厚片，便可以像蘿蔔糕一樣煎製或烙煎，香酥及微焦的表面更添加的不同的美味，除此之外可以以作成薄薄的片狀當成千層麵的麵體，讓我除了couscous之外又有一像可供變化的食材，不過看起來在台灣的普及度還不高，我想在北京可能更是稀少，可能先讓我扛一包過去再去那邊找找看有沒有這樣的食材嚕!!

4F Cooking Home - 御膳人蔘雞湯

有機會上到李老師的御膳人蔘雞湯真的是個美麗的意外，原本是要上11月底的課程，但因為行程上的更動，最後讓我有機會排到這堂想了很久的課程，這是我在4F的第四堂課，每個老師都有很不同的風格，李子英老師給我很溫暖的媽媽的感覺，當初會想去上這堂課也是也是因為冬天到了，想在餐桌上多到熱騰騰的溫暖湯品溫暖一下在北京寒冷冬天工作的あなた的身體，而剛好這幾道料理也都是韓國媽媽們為家人必備的料理。

這次的課程讓我對韓國料理主要的食材有更進一步的了解，包括不同的人蔘，辣椒粉及辣椒醬，昨天晚上剛好到101的Jason's走走，剛好看到4F推薦的韓國食材店"韓味不二"的攤位，我才見識到人蔘高貴的身家及4F對好食材一點都不手軟的態度，除此之外這次課程也讓我見識到LC鍋驚人的燉煮能力，不管是人蔘雞湯或是多湯風格的安東雞，都可以嘗到軟爛的雞肉及美味的湯汁，這也讓我對新購進的鍋子有更進一步的了解。

容容寶貝 - 1Y11M

昨天一回到家，我就說我真是個偏心的阿姨，雖然說我幫所有的小朋友們都買了靴子，還幫妹妹買了2雙，我還是多幫容容買了一套新衣服。對小男生，我最喜歡這種又紳士又帥氣的裝扮，所以就買了件牛仔褲，襯衫配上一件背心，一回到家試穿再配上新買的靴子，真的是個小帥哥啊!!

跟二姐討論完我的shopping之後，我們兩一致決定要去幫妹妹添購這雙粉紅色的，之前是因為出門前二姐有交代說不要買粉紅色的，所以在考慮時我沒有選擇粉紅色，但畢竟是女生而且價格還這麼誘人，我們就決定幫妹妹多買一雙，畢竟是女生，多買一雙大家也不會講話，這應該是萬綠叢中一點紅的好處吧!!

哈哈!! 我們星期六就要出去玩啦!! 真是期待啊!!

小皮靴

自從上次家族到高雄出遊，爸媽好像漸漸同意出遊的安排，姊妹們之前就有在提想要安排個家族旅行，所以我們就選定下週末帶家裡大大小小到東京一遊，因為天氣的關係，上週末在海邊家中時，大家便在討論需要準備的衣物。兩位姐姐們已經開始準備四個小朋友的東裝，但因為東京的冬天應該會比台北更冷，在台灣又難找到小朋友們的皮靴，所以我便想趁這禮拜在北京時幫她們選購，畢竟北京的冬天比起東京應該更冷，月初在北京時後已看到路上行人著靴子出門，北京應該找的到合適的靴子。

前兩天在忙，到這兩天才有空出門逛街，第一個想到的是去北京有名的秀水市場逛逛，鞋子的區域是在地下一樓，秀水市場有名的就是"仿冒品"，最熱門的就是仿UGG Australia設計的雪靴，大人的開價RMB280左右，小孩的大約RMB220，昨天試著殺了個價，4雙小孩的殺到了RMB400，但我總覺得一雙RMB100還是很貴，所以覺得今天在到附近的商店街看看，路上看到一家標榜真品UGG的靴子開價RMB980，走著走著看到一家一般的店仿的開價RMB90，這才這我知道我昨天小孩的一雙開RMB100真的是太仁慈了。接著就在一家專門賣清倉貨的店家瞄到這些小靴子，店家開價RMB 30，我聽到只覺得在中國買東西真的需要貨比三家，而且絕對不要相信他們一開始開的價錢，最後這四雙以RMB125成交。覺得我真厲害，已經開始掌握在北京生活的訣竅嚕!!

容容寶貝 - 1Y10M

從容容小時候開始幫他拍照總是要跟他溝通很久，但往往因為他對照相機的好奇跟好動，很難好好地幫他拍張照片，但現在一歲十個月的他，竟然已經懂得拍照要擺POSE了，之前叫他擺"小帥哥"的姿勢把手作"七"的動作擺在下巴。這天當媽帶他散步回來，準備了她從澳門特地帶回來的蛋塔當點心，我便隨手拿起照相機想幫他照相留念，聰明的容容竟然馬上作出"小帥哥"的動作準備照相，只覺得我們可愛的容容真的是越來越上相。

只希望在我還沒長期搬過來北京之前好好陪他也記錄下他的成長，我會很想念你的!! 我的容容寶貝!!

溫暖小廚房 - Le Creuset 新亮相

有了自己的小廚房之後，我就開始想要添購合適及順手的鍋具，一開始是最需要的平底鍋，在多方研究之下我選擇了寶迪鍋，當時就有想要購進有名的LC鍋，但在不確定我的需求及其高單價的狀況下，我一直遲遲沒下手，經過這幾個月漸漸熟悉我的廚房及因為北京的冬天而產生對熱湯及燉菜的需求，在台灣獨特的百貨公司週年慶中我決定添購這組讓我愛不釋手的25公分橢圓鍋。

因為週年慶的活動，贈送了同一顏色的小陶鍋，同時我也購進的特價的愛心烤盤，在北京近零度的天氣下，我的開鍋菜就是一鍋溫暖的蔬菜湯。這也讓真的讓我了解為何大家都對這個鍋子如此瘋狂，之前也用過一般的玻璃鍋或不繡鋼鍋煮過這個蔬菜湯，但LC鍋真的能保存蔬菜的原汁及甘甜，讓我一掀開鍋蓋就聞到那之前不曾體驗過的香味，就真的不後悔花了這筆不小的費用及千里迢迢地從台灣帶過來，相信我的小廚房將會有更多香味撲鼻的料理出爐來溫暖我跟あなた在這寒冷冬天的胃!

Summer Palace - 頤和園

Finally I got the chance to visit this famous Summer Palace during Vega's visit at the end of Oct. I have been longing for visiting this place but it's actually a bit far from the downtown area that we stayed. It took about 50 minutes to reach there by subway. Therefore, when Vega told me that Bulan and she were coming to Beijing for a short trip and Summer Palace is one of the destinations, I was so happy to join the group.

From the name indicated, it is the Summer Palace for the empire family of the Chiang dynasty during summer. So it is really grand with the fantastic view. Guess that's the reason why I like Beijing because of all the historical buildings and cultural stuff available here. This is really a city worth visiting to understand and feel more about the unique Chinese culture.

肉桂蘋果捲

之前嘗試過網路上熱門的5分鐘麵包，不知為何總覺得烤出來的麵包沒有相像中的柔軟蓬鬆及口感，但看看網路上大家的成果都真的還不錯就讓我興起再試一次的想法，想起之前上麵包課時做過的蘋果肉桂麵包就覺得自己來嘗試過不同的變化，所以將已經冷藏過夜的麵團從冰箱裡取出，桿成一長片在舖上用肉桂糖煮過的蘋果丁及泡軟的葡萄乾，捲起成長條狀後切塊再放進圓形蛋糕模中作發酵，最後進烤箱200度烘烤大約15分鐘，香噴噴的肉桂蘋果捲便出爐! 成果還不錯，不過還是覺得麵包太過扎實，纖維不如預期的鬆軟，可能得再研究研究如何調整嚕!!

Thanks for Nancy's invitation for her wedding in Mutianyu, Beijing, we had the chance to visit Mutianyu, which is famous for the Great Wall nearby. The wedding is Sunday and Nancy arranged us to stay one night at China Countryside Hotels, it's an interesting hotel that they actually worked with the country house owner and help them to rent out the place when they are not around. We stay at a very nice one call "Persimmon Court" and shared the house with Sandy & her husband as well as Siew Ling.

It's a very interesting concept to have the modern style interior design within the traditional Chinese lodge house. Pretty comfortable and a nice choice for a short retreat out from the city.

The most interesting part among all is the lady camel that we met when we took the early morning tour around the place. I actually noticed her from far but I can't really tell what what that is as she wears some very beautiful decoration on the ears and body. On our way back, we saw her owner walking her up to the Great Wall to "WORK" as model and that costs RMB20 for each photo shoot. Luckily that I've taken some before she started working!! haha!!

We only arrived on Sat evening as あなた needs to work in the morning. Therefore, we did not have the chance to really climb the Great Wall! I'm definitely coming back again but maybe next Spring when the weather and wind isn't so cold lu!!

我們已經連著四天出去玩嚕!! 週末跟大姐一家及爸媽一起到南部玩，這應該是我們這近十年來一大家子出門去玩，只能說機會難得，但我想這之後我應該會想常常安排這樣的旅程讓家人一起出去輕鬆休閒一下。

我們一大早從台北開車出發，開始第一階段的休息站之旅，途經西湖休息站及有名的清水休息站，一上路我們就開始了這次拯救經濟之買不停之旅，從西湖的中藥皮蛋到清水的吊鐘燒，近中午時我們就殺到台南的永樂市場吃吃到地的台南小吃，晚上就到高雄的六和夜市。隔天因為有飯店附送的免費遊高雄港船卷及壽山動物園入場卷，讓我們完全不需再特別計畫星期天的行程，所以上午坐船遊高雄港，中午到期津吃海產，到壽山動物園前再轉到渡船頭去吃海之冰，回程殺到新竹城隍廟吃新竹小吃。這真的是名符其實的吃不停買不停之旅，也讓我開始計畫下次可能的行程。

壽山動物園因為整修只有兩區開放，所以我們就在講要帶容容去木柵動物園玩，昨天晚上就在計畫今天的行程但因為天候因素一直不敢確定，今天一早看見太陽公公就決定要去，但之後太陽公公就慢慢被厚厚的雲遮住時我們還在考慮，但想想我這個星期五就要出門了，就決定出門碰碰運氣吧!! 車開到信義快速道路要轉下萬芳交流道時就開始飄起雨來，想想反正都來了就到門口晃晃也好，不過一過山區到木柵雨就停了，就這樣我們在這涼爽的天氣好好地走了動物園一趟，直到最後的時候才飄起雨，所以媽媽直說幸好我們還是有來，讓容容好好看了看許多不同的動物，最近應該會常常聽到"牛牛"之類的文字開始出現在我們家的對話中嚕!!

4F Cooking Home - 日出丼飯賞

對於日本料理我總有份莫名的好感，所以不管在外用餐或是自己下廚，日式的菜色總是我的first choices之一，所以之前才會忠實地跟隨Masa老師的部落格，所以看到老師在4F開的課，總希望能一一體驗過，因此我第二堂日本料理的課程就是"日出丼飯賞-上野風豬排丼"。

今天的菜單包括:

- 柚子風味水菜沙拉

- 魚卵烏龍冷麵

- 上野風豬排丼

- 秋賞時蔬味増湯

- 甘醇梅酒寒天凍

最讓我驚艷的就是今天的主菜-豬排，我不太喜歡用油太多或是炸的料理，所以基本上不會有炸豬排這樣的料理在我的餐桌上出現，但是聽說今天的豬排是日本現在最流行的料理方式，將麵包粉加點沙拉油後用空鍋炒至金黃焦色，再放入烤箱烤出"炸"的口感，這樣料理方式其實可以有很多的變化，可以用在魚片或雞肉上。而丼飯的湯汁做法其實跟親子丼或是柳川鍋也很類似，主要是以鰹魚醬油(つゆ)為基底作出湯汁再淋上蛋汁作出滑潤的口感，上次吃過鰻魚的柳川鍋裡面除了洋蔥絲之外還有我喜歡的牛蒡，下禮拜回到北京就可以嘗試一下給あなた品嘗一下嚕!!

4F Cooking Home - 意料之外: 手感咖啡推廣課

咖啡原本對我來說只是泡咖啡店時的配菜，我從來沒有咖啡癮也無法想像為何同事們早上跟下午都需要杯咖啡來提振精神。但這一年來，因為あなた的影響，我也開始陪他早餐及下午茶時來杯咖啡，所以當我看到4F推出這個意料之外的手感咖啡推廣課 (咖啡概論 x 手作巧克力白蘭地蛋糕 Chocolate Brandy Cake)，我毫不考慮就馬上報名，想好好了解"咖啡"這個有趣的顯學。老實說，另一個重要的原因是這個巧克力白蘭地蛋糕，我第一次與他的邂逅是在Masa的薰風壽司饗宴課程，那天我們有幸享用到這個美味的蛋糕，之後我還寫了個email請教永偉這個蛋糕的食譜，但因課程資訊的限制無法公開，所以當我看到將會介紹這個蛋糕，更是cross all my fingers希望能夠有機會參與。

非常幸運的在這個星期一收到上課的通知，所以昨晚我又像平常一樣空著肚子來好好享用美味，上課開始前就聞到4F有名的scone的香味，一品嘗之下再搭配上手工的果醬，就不難想像為何4F Scone的課程已經報名滿到12月了。課程由我奢想以久的白蘭地巧克力蛋糕開始，基本上這是以磅蛋糕為基底的配方，是蛋糕配方中很不容易失敗的做法，將奶油及砂糖稍微打發同時間將巧克力隔水加熱，再混和蛋與牛奶後加入奶油糊中，接著加入白蘭地及溶化好的巧克力醬，最後再將粉類加入，填入模型中就可進烤箱烘烤。真的是一個會讓我很想動手做的蛋糕，只是我得好好計算一下份量，畢竟只有兩個人，我可想不做太大讓兩個人得天天與巧克力蛋糕相對。

蛋糕進烤箱烘烤之後，我們便正式開始今天咖啡概論的課程，今天的講師是湛盧咖啡的經營廖國明(Graham Liao)先生，老實說，我對咖啡的了解真的非常有限，除了之前把咖啡當配菜喝時常喝的拿鐵或卡布其諾或最近因為あなた而迷上的美式咖啡或黑咖啡，我只知道用我的味蕾來感覺好不好喝，而其中好喝或不好喝的原因真的是一概不知，所以幸好我們是從基本的咖啡生豆的介紹及其種類與選購的管道開始，這還是我第一次看到生豆，之前看到的都是已經烘培好的豆子或是咖啡粉甚至是一杯已經沖好的咖啡。接著就是現場的手網烘豆示範，在烘培的過程當中感受到咖啡的香氣及顏色的變化，之後就是研磨及現場沖煮。

現場沖煮出來的咖啡有種很簡單的香味及甘醇的口感，要不是我最近被好好的訓練到每天半杯黑咖啡，我想我可能還沒有辦法感受到這味道上的差別。在享用咖啡及蛋糕的時間中，廖先生分享到影響咖啡美味的四個主因:水溫，水及咖啡粉的比例，沖泡的時間及水量，將這四個因素巧妙的調配便可以克服器材上的一些限制創造出好喝的咖啡，這代表我們那隻簡單的美式咖啡機或許還是有希望的，不過我得先取得經過適當烘培及研磨的豆子，我的shopping list上面又多了樣東西了嚕!!

妹妹 - 1Y3M

請容我鄭重介紹我們家的小公主 - 妹妹，到目前為止我有四個nephew跟這一個寶貝的nice，妹妹是我們家到目前為止唯一的一位小女生 - haha !! 意思就是說我也想生一個女兒 :Q

妹妹是我二姐的小女兒，身為唯一的一個小公主，當然是寵愛集一身啊!! 所以我也只會幫妹妹買衣服，總覺得男生的衣服變化有限，再加上已經有兩個哥哥留下來的衣服，所以就算是我們家的容容，我也還沒幫他買過衣服。這件粉紅色小洋裝是去年十月我跟あなた一起回新加坡時在Raffles Hotel買的，他上面有精美的繡花，所以我一看到就決定要買給妹妹。做過媽媽的都會交代要買大一點的衣服，小孩子在一嵗以前成長的速度非常快，衣服大概只能穿上一個月就要再換更大的尺寸，所以我買了一歲半的尺寸準備讓妹妹長大點的時候穿，我只能說她穿上典雅又漂亮的洋裝真的是非常可愛。這兩天在家，妹妹就像在開服裝秀，總共換了四套衣服，黃色及紫色小碎花的洋裝都是二姐自己做的，手藝真的很好，大家都在想是不是該幫他開個網路小商店來跟大家分享這些漂亮的衣服。

或許同是女性，妹妹跟我有類似的審美觀，她一回到家看到我新買的涼鞋，就開始把注意力放在我的鞋子上，看著看著終於敢伸出她的小美腿想去試試我的鞋子，所以這兩天常常看到她抱著我的鞋子玩或者是在試穿。OK OK!! 妹妹!! 阿姨如果看到類似設計的小鞋鞋一定幫你買一雙也讓你美麗一下啊!!

北平都一處 & Micasa Dolci

あなた昨天終於回到台灣了，雖然說我也是上個禮拜天才剛從北京回來，但總覺得好像已經分開很久了。^o^

快中午時，あなた問起中午想吃什麼，第一個閃過腦中的是"北平都一處"，在台灣的時候就常聽到他們的大名，但或許太近了，總沒想到要過去試試，直到之前去北京看到"都一處"，原以為兩家是有淵源的，但一試之下，北京的國營企業經營完全比不上老師傅的手藝。

因為北平都一處不開放攝影，所以我就簡單描述一下我們跟他的完美邂逅，我們一走近門口，就看到一位老師傅，我猜那應該就是鼎鼎有名的李老闆，あなた一進門也出於好奇心直接請問老闆他們跟北京的都一處有沒有關係，老闆立即義正言詞的否認，老實說，台灣北平都一處的東西好吃太多了。我們坐下後開始翻閱菜單，あなた知道我習慣有個湯有個青菜，所以我們就先從這兩樣開始看起，也詢問了店員之後，我們叫了豬肝湯，涼伴白菜，及他有名的醬肉與餡餅。湯跟青菜都還蠻普通的，應該不算是店家的拿手好菜，不過一吃到他的醬肉跟餡餅，我就開始讚不絕口了。我是個不喜歡肥肉那種滿嘴油膩的感覺，但他們的醬肉滷的真是好又入味又不死鹹，豬肉的那層外皮及脂肪已經完全沒有油膩感，反倒是QQ的而且入口即化，讓我感受到"膠原蛋白"的美味，配上餡餅滋味更是好。老闆忙到一個段落之後過來跟我們閒聊有關他們跟北京的都一處的差別以及其他的推薦好菜，美味的料理及爽朗的老闆讓我們兩個決定有機會一定要再次造訪嘗嘗其他的招牌菜。

走過來的路上就看到了Micasa Dolci，他明亮的色調及可愛的圖案在仁愛路四段的林蔭下更是顯得吸引人，之前就看過有關他們的一些文章，所以決定留點肚子嘗嘗他們的dessert，一開始走進店面時是完全客滿的，原本已經要放棄這次的嘗試，但剛好有客人用餐完畢準備離開，所以我們就等了一下他們結帳跟清理桌面。あなた有下午喝杯cafe的習慣，所以我們常常會在下午找家店喝杯cafe也休息一下，所以我就點了他們的套餐-熱巧克力蛋糕佐綠茶冰淇淋與我們習慣的美式黑咖啡。平心而論，他們的東西算不錯吃，但以price performance來說還差強人意，對一份要價450元的甜點，在份量及變化上，我有更高的期望，所以網路上給予它"貴婦下午茶的"的稱號應該不算意外，吃"氣氛"的成分應該比較高。除此之外，在我們用餐的過程中，あなた發覺只有他一位男性，再加上之後進來的一群"貴婦"，讓あなた笑稱他像是走進叢林的一隻小白兔，身邊一群TIGER跟LION，所以我們用完餐點隨即就離開，一走出門口就看到兩台BMW735在外面等著，真的是應証了他"貴婦下午茶"的稱號。

這幾次往返北京越發覺得台灣的物價算是頗合理的，從路邊小吃到高級餐廳的選擇相對來說多了很多，或許是因為我對北京還不夠了解或又因為我們生活的區域算是高消費區，總覺得只要在外面吃頓飯都要價不斐，所以我們幾乎是天天在家開伙，所以要趁我還有比較多時機在台灣的時候好好享受家鄉的美食吧!!

Singapore Airline Airbus A380

I got the chance to meet this beautiful lady during my transit in Hong Kong. When I stepped out from my plane, there are quite a number of people standing at the passage way and taking pictures with her. I did not recognize who she was at that time until I look closer and noticed that she is the well-known biggest aircraft in the world so far. Singapore Airline is the first one to launch Airbus A380 aircraft and now it's available to some destinations including Tokyo, Hong Kong, Sydney, etc.

Compared with the other aircraft parking nearby, she is just so different in terms of size the shape. I must find a chance to try this aircraft. It seems the most possible route is for me to fly back to Singapore via Hong Kong. Maybe I can can plan for that if I'm going back this Nov.

中國建國60週年

今年剛好是中華人民共和國建國60週年，而我們住的地方又剛好在管制區內，所以我星期天就早早離開北京，畢竟管制區內種種出入及隨身物品的管制甚是不便，あなた因為工作的關係，只能到明天才能回來。

從八月中開始，長安街上就有越來越多的警方及軍方人員，上週末既然在王府井跟東方廣場的路口看到特警小組及他們的武裝車，感覺上這些人員，真的是趁這機會出來好好亮相一下，路上所有的行人都在圍觀及拍照留念。至於東方廣場再過去的北京飯店及萊佛士北京飯店也裝上大大的紅燈籠，喜慶氣氛更是濃厚。

對於中國的動員能力，我只有"佩服" 兩個字，十一當天早上的遊行再加上晚上的表演，及天安門周邊還有整個北京市的控管所需要動員的人力，我只能說中國的"計畫"及"執行"能力真的是不容小覷，而這種能力又在中國的計畫經濟中顯而易見。

我想應該沒有機會在台灣好好看到中國完整的國慶慶祝活動，不過對於表演的內容及長達30分鐘的煙火，我倒是有點小小的期待。到時在看有哪些管道可以取得較完整的資訊吧!

First Anniversary - 923

想起去年我跟あなた認識的經過，我只能說"緣分"真的是天定，兩個台灣人因為在異鄉的工作而在北京相遇，第一次碰面就感受到奔張的化學反應，後面接踵而來的連鎖反應及其他外在因素，只更加速兩個的相識相惜。記得我們認識的First Month Anniversary，在送我回家的公車途上，我問あなた說知道今天是什麼日子嗎? 想當然爾的，日子並不是他所擅長的，所以當我說了今天是我們認識的First Month Anniversary，あなた真的是摟著我的肩膀微笑不止，自那之後"23"變成了我們的一個Magic Number。

6 Month Anniversary的時候，我寫了幾篇小短文記錄我們這六個月的相處及我的感覺，這當然又給あなた一陣驚喜跟感動，那天也是あなた確定我們將會在中國 - most likely 北京 - 開始新的生活。所以當今年的923，我們已經算是再次在北京settle down，這個慶祝更是有意義。我們回到了相識的原點繼續我們的故事。

我其實21號就回到北京，此行主要的目的當然是要陪伴あなた渡過我們的Anniversary，所以當我們晚上準備歇息的時候，あなた竟然拿出了個小盒子，打開一看，竟然是這個記錄著我們紀念日的項鍊，我竟然感動到眼淚馬上噴了出來，因為我知道要他在quarter end的繁忙時間還要去找到一個合適的禮物，這真的是不容易。

4F Cooking Home - 薰風壽司盛宴

之前有機會找到Masa老師的blog，就一直把它當作我作菜的主要參考，一開始還在懷疑4F的Masa老師就是blog上的那個嗎?直到Masa老師自己把4F的連結放上自己的blog上，這個答案才揭曉，所以當我看到九月時間上允許的課程，就決定報名了。Masa老師非常的幽默可愛，使用著他熟練的中文跟我們分享在家裡準備壽司的簡單方法，整堂課真的是笑聲不斷，讓我過了個非常輕鬆愉快的下午。

今天課程是薰風壽司盛宴而菜單如下:

- 煙燻鮭魚酪梨沙拉佐和風凱薩醬

- 綜合壽司

* 炙烤牛肉手捲

* 辣干貝軍艦捲

* 加州風味捲壽司

* 千層散壽司

- 芒果雪見大幅

課程的設計很好，讓我們能自己實作加州風味捲壽司及千層散壽司，很多時候其實都是經驗及一些tips，才能讓很多細節作的更好，捲壽司真的有它的困難度，尤其我們這次作的是inside out的加州風味捲壽司，如何能夠將內餡包的扎實卻不會太過用力而從兩旁擠出，真的是力的美學，除此之外還要注意不能把在最外層的保鮮膜包進去的情況下把壽司"捲"起來，要是沒這次的經驗，如果我自己試的話，我想可能真的匯浪費不少的材料才能抓到訣竅。千層散壽司也很好玩，因為masa老師原本是學法國料理的，所以他就把法國料理的做法及盛盤方式結合日本料理的材料，將不同的材料層層鋪上行程豐富的顏色及口味，真的是好看又好吃。

許多同學可能是第一次上課，不知道課程中會操作的餐點可享用，所以都吃了午餐才來參加，所以做到中間時就已經開始詢問打包的可能安排，而我因為上次的經驗，早上只吃了顆白桃便撐到下午兩點一坐下就可以好好享用永偉準備的巧克力蛋糕，真的很好吃。所以建議之後會上課程的同學們可以衡量上課的時間調整進餐的時間及份量吧! 十月因為時間的限制，只能參與兩堂Masa老師的課程，希望十一月時還能嘗試不同料理的課程吧!!

4F Cooking Home - 完全義大利A1

早在幾個月前就常看到有關4F Cooking Home的post，之前看到時想報名課程都已額滿，在加上我其他的行程，便遲遲沒能成行，直到八月中在北京一看到九月課程資訊時，馬上寄信報名，讓我幸運地能在九月參與4F的完全義大利A1及薰風壽司盛宴。這個星期三早上是Fabien的完全義大利A1課程，Fabien真的很可愛，我一走進廚房，他便報以大大的一笑，再加上廚房裡明亮的配色，讓我知道今天一定會是個Good Day!!

今天的菜單是:

- 嫩煎鴨胸佐天使髮絲沙拉 Duck Breast with Capellini Salad

- 炭烤迷迭香豬勒排佐洋蔥 Baked Rosemary Pork Rib with Sage Onion

- 西西里白酒蛤蜊義大利麵 Sicilian White Wine and Clam Spaghetti

手工新鮮義大利麵 Handmade Pasta

- 義式提拉米蘇 Tiramisu

整個課程因為Fabien生動的示範及教學以及舒適的空間讓我很喜歡，畢竟自己有烹飪的習慣，當Fabien示範的時候可以清楚的抓到每道菜準備及烹煮的重點。我其實是上次在北京才開始煮比較多西式料理，希望能準備更多不同的料理給あなた品嘗，所以也希望能夠對義大利料理有更多的了解。

上完課之後更覺得料理是種"愛"的表現，只要有新鮮的食材，美味的料理並不難，需要的是那份心意，再加上少許的變化，相信我們的餐桌上將有更多不同的變化。

Home Made Dinner

前幾個禮拜在北京的日子，白天除了上網看看現在job market的狀況，另一個大工作就是準備早餐跟晚餐，總希望每天都能變化出不同的菜色，所以之前帶過去的食譜及網路上豐富的資源成了我最好的參考及靈感來源，其中一個我最常去的就是Masa老師的blog。淺顯易懂的逐步教學，讓我多了好多不同的料理可以嘗試，之後也會去4F Cooking Home參加Masa老師的日本料理課程，讓我多學幾招。

這應該是我回來前兩三天的晚餐，那時已經開始清冰箱，因為我會回台灣幾個禮拜再回去，食材不能放上那麼久，簡單的一個雞茸玉米濃湯，迷迭香雞腿排沙拉及鮮蝦花枝番茄義大利麵，就是我們的晚餐。我總是喜歡把食材都準備好，等あなた回到家洗澡時我在開始料理，這樣他洗好出來剛好可以吃到熱騰騰的晚餐。他生日的那天我也準備了類似的菜色，畢竟買東西總有一定的份量，沒法一頓飯就用完所有的食材，但因為對市場及廚房更熟悉，準備起來就更得心應手。

我很喜歡我的開放式廚房，讓我煮飯時幾乎不會流上一滴汗就可以把晚餐準備好，一是因為開放式廚房，我盡量用少油的料理，再加上厲害的寶迪鍋，要不是為了料理的味道，幾乎可以不下油就可以烹煮。這趟回來讓我更想好好的逛逛超市採買不同的調味料，這樣可以變化出更多不同的料理好好滿足あなた的胃!!

容容寶貝- 1Y7M

容容不到滿月就開始跟我們一起生活，看著他長大也參與了照顧他的工作，感覺上就像是自己的小孩，之前看到一些媽媽在部落格上用xYxM記錄了孩子成長的點滴，剛開始看還不覺得那數字的意義，這次放假也花了更多時間陪伴容容，更能感覺那數字的增加。

容容是去年農曆過年前一個禮拜出生的，年紀其實很好記，只要跟著農曆走就很清楚。這些是上週末一起回海邊老家照的照片，一歳七個月的他已經可以熟練的使用一些簡單的字彙，除了簡單的稱呼:阿姨，婆婆，公公，媽媽，爸爸，哥哥，最近最常聽到的就是"給我"跟"我要"，他已經可以清楚地表達自己的喜好，可喜的是雖然小孩子對大部分東西都有好奇心也想擁有，但他是可以溝通的。總覺得小孩子有個性是好的，但蠻橫不講裡是不可以接受的，雖然大家都說小孩子還不懂事，但其實他們在這個年紀已經可以了解大人的話語，有些更厲害的已經會討價還價，所以這階段其實是人格養成的最重要階段。

從容容的成長過程中，我也漸漸釐清我對小孩子的觀念及想法:

1. 他們將會是我生命中最重要的一部份也是我未來生活的重心，所以在家庭與工作之中，我的重心絕對會是在家人及小孩子身上，或許也因為我幸運，身上並沒有太重的財務負擔。

2. 把小孩子當大人溝通: 當大人以為他們還不懂事，用各種哄騙的方式，他們就更會以不成熟的方式回應，從小就養成良好的生活習慣及個性，需要父母親也以成熟的想法及態度面對。

3. 大人的教育要同調，父母親間需要溝通，我想這部分是比較容易的，畢竟兩個人會選擇彼此成立家庭，在一些主要的觀念及價值觀上應該有一定的相似及重複，但當有祖父母時，這就需要好好溝通，畢竟時代的差距可能會造成一些觀念上的差異，再加上婆媳間的溝通可能並不總是暢通無阻的，所以更需要整個家庭一起努力。

希望在不久的將來我也會迎接自己孩子的到來，謝謝容容讓我先實習一下，我衷心期望那天的到來!

New Toy for Baking

あなた這兩個禮拜看我很努力地嘗試跟小烤箱做好朋友，但結果都不如預期，可能還要承擔協助處理掉可怕作品的可能性，所以上週六到北京朝陽門外大街的百腦匯跟蘇寧電器買多功能印表機的時候，就說我們應該買個比較好的烤箱。我還有點遲疑是否真的要買，不過謝謝他的寵愛，就讓我又多了個玩具來嘗試作不同的麵包。

我上個禮拜過去看印表機的時候，就到蘇寧電器去看看，主要是想看看中國這可以跟國美相抗衡的電器通路，那天我只到他們在朝陽門外大街的那家店的一樓，因為電腦相關的產品(So-called Black Goods)是在一樓，我到沒上去二樓畢竟我沒想要看家電產品。所以當あなた問我那家店時，我的反應是店非常小，因為印表機的產品選擇不到15樣，價格又比對面的百腦匯商家高出許多，但周六我們兩就走上二樓看看時，我才知道他二樓的賣場很大，生意也比我想像的好。逛了逛我們就相中ACA電器這台18L的烤箱，畢竟兩個人而已，18L應該是足夠了。

所以今天就開始了我玩新玩具的一天，過兩天就要回台灣一趟，所以一直想把冰箱裡的東西清一清。我一直對紅豆有著莫名的愛好，從紅豆湯到義美小羊羹，吃到紅豆就讓我有很幸福的感覺。雖然あなた常拿這個取笑我，不過他還真的會到處幫我注意在北京有沒有好吃的紅豆湯，之前在"麵愛麵"試過他們的日式紅豆湯，口味比較相近但對我來說還是太甜，她們剛好也有賣紅豆餡，所以就買了包想回家自己煮。所以這次就來嘗試我最愛的紅豆麵包，參考了Yummy's 3 Step Cooking，食譜上是用平底鍋烘烤，但既然我有烤箱，當然要讓我新玩具好好發揮一下，成果出來外型還頗讓人滿意，至少不再有焦黑的表面，但總覺得麵包太扎實不夠有彈性，剛烤好吃還不錯，但放久了之後就變硬了。

所以我愛實驗又不服輸的個性就出來了，我開始在網路上尋找不同的做法，我猜想應該是我的發酵做的不夠。Yummy's 食譜基本上是比較簡單，大多沒有太多揉麵的部分。第二次想做點鹹的，而冰箱裡還剩火腿片及起司，就參考了新婚小女人的帕馬森燻雞麵包，這次我就真的花了點時間揉麵團，一開始是把所有粉料及液體揉均勻再加上奶油，這時才想起之前麵包課老師講的"三光-盆光，手光，麵光"，然後我再加長第一次發酵時間到50分鐘，出來的麵團就真的很不一樣，表面很光滑還亮亮的，包好現在整形好之後的第二次發酵我也拉長到30分鐘，其實這個時間都不是絕對的，還是要看天氣及麵團的大小，像我這種沒磅秤就隨性的人，只好慢慢從經驗中學習，這次出來的成果就很不錯。第二次發酵完的麵團就膨脹不少也比較有彈性，當然烤出來的結果也很不一樣，真的有"ㄉㄨㄞㄉㄨㄞ"的感覺。明天早上就可以讓あなた享受一下他付錢的成果，希望有所好評嚕!

大董烤鴨

說到北京的美食，北京烤鴨應該是大家第一個想到的，再加上之前全聚德到台灣弄得轟轟烈烈的，大家應該更好奇。我前前後後來了北京好幾次都沒機會去試試這有名的佳餚，老實說王府井旁邊就有家全聚德，不過樓下排隊的觀光客人潮再加上之前在前門感受過他們的服務，讓我沒有很想把我北京烤鴨的第一次獻給他們。

週末是あなた真的可以陪我的時間，接近中午時他就問我今天中午想吃什麼，我第一個想到就是北京烤鴨，而之前他提到在君悅飯店前面遇到以前的同事要去吃金寶匯"大董"，讓我也想去試試。第一是"金寶匯"，這是北京新開的一個高檔商場，進去看了一下店家還真是不太一樣，周六剛好是裡面一家"定製服"店家開張，從一樓大門口就搭上晚上launching及走秀的舞台。再來就是"大董"，之前也在雜誌上看到介紹他們有名的海參及烤鴨料理。一進店面就是很時尚的感覺，あなた嚇了一跳，因為這跟他之前在辦公室旁邊吃過的團結湖店很不一樣，老店就是北京"老店"那種一堆圓桌一字排開的擺設，但這邊就很不同了，再跟服務生確定所有分店的價格都一樣只是裝潢不同，那就更要來這家嚐嚐，あなた也嚷嚷著說以後外國朋友來的話可以帶他們來這邊品嘗。

兩個人而已，我們就點了半隻烤鴨, 一份青菜及魚湯，あなた知道我對魚的新鮮度很挑剔，所以來到好點的餐廳就會點道"魚"的料理，畢竟大招牌的食材品質應該會比較好，但重頭戲還是在烤鴨。座位旁邊就是他們的烤爐，可以看到師傅們一一把鴨子放入爐中燒烤，然後"片鴨"又是北京烤鴨一個很重要的技巧，師傅會直接在我們座位旁邊處理，可以看到他精細的刀工，先把北京烤鴨有名的"皮"先片下來，再來就是肉的部分。而一開始就讓我很好奇的是這有著眾多配菜及沾醬的盤子，當肉處理好之後。服務員就會一一講解北京烤鴨幾個不同的吃法，第一個是"烤鴨皮沾白糖"，口感很特殊，脆脆的鴨皮加上白糖直接的甜味, 一放進口中就一起溶化了，雖然只是皮但卻不會有油膩的感覺。再來就是較常見的麵皮，放上沾了醬的鴨肉及蒜白絲，一點也沒有蒜的嗆味，而是軟嫩的鴨肉加可口的醬料及很有彈性的麵皮，雖說這種吃法較常見，但好的材料還真的不太一樣。最後一種聽說是大董特殊的烤餅吃法，在切開的烤餅中加入黃瓜絲，蘿蔔絲，蒜泥，及沾了醬的鴨肉，那烤餅脆脆的質地加上這些材料吃起來味道還真不錯。最後才發覺在照片右下角的兩樣小菜沒吃到，一問支下才知道那是醃的泡菜，是用來在品嘗了鴨肉之後清口中的味道來品嘗下一道菜的。

整體來說，這是我到北京之後評價蠻高的一家店，但價格上也蠻高。半隻烤鴨要價RMB198，兩個人吃下來也花了RMB400多，幸好一開始就決定あなた來點菜，要是我點的話我應該會遲疑頗久。但這還是我很推薦的一家餐廳，有機會爸媽來北京的話我也一定會帶他們去試試的呢!

北京故宮

紫禁城-北京故宮-應該也是北京一個必去的景點，去年待在北京的時候，其中一個週末從天安門西一直往東走到王府井，途中有進去紫禁城，但只走到午門，當時故宮因為奧運還在整修，天氣也頗炎熱，我就想等天氣涼爽一點再進去好好走走，誰知道我去年九月底之後就沒再過去北京。

這幾個禮拜週末也因大太陽沒打算長時間在戶外曝曬，所以一直沒去紫禁城，上週末北京天氣開始變涼爽，因為溫度慢慢降低，有太陽照到的時候反而變的溫暖，あなた決定帶我去紫禁城走走。

北京從元朝以來就是首都，而紫禁城也是皇城所在地，算是中國歷史上非常重要的建築群，在北京我真的感受到”數大就是美”，所以當走近數丈高牆時更感受到他的氣派雄偉。整個紫禁城主要分外庭與內庭，外庭就是重要儀式舉辦的三大殿，一走入端門眼前就是太和殿及殿前的大廣場，這景色應該是大部分清朝古裝劇中大家最熟悉的一景，掿大的宮殿在一片淨白的廣場襯托下更顯高大雄偉，這外庭三大殿是最讓我感受到皇城巨大的氛圍，再進去便是內庭主要是皇室家族真正生活起居的地方，當然規模及格局變相對小很多。

老實說，走到內庭，後花園到從神武門走出紫禁城時，我還真有點感嘆，大與小真的是相對的。這真的是座大城但若要我終其一生只能在這城牆裡生活，我想我不會願意的，雖然看起來好像真的是氣派唐皇，但不像是個家，或許是因為整座紫禁城看起來只剩下一個空殼，沒有可以讓我感受到生活的蛛絲馬跡，設想當年為了所謂榮華富貴及家庭責任而進入皇家的妃子們，真的像是所謂籠子裡的金絲雀。

最近我越發覺的”簡單”的生活是最令人滿足的，當我們有太多想要追求的東西或目標時，那令人眼花撩亂的種種可能讓我們更容易迷失及忽略的身邊最簡單但最為重要的寶藏。只能說我是非常幸運的，從小到大沒有太艱辛的路，一路平平順順地享受生活，對於我的幸運，我只能由衷地感激，也會更加地珍惜及儘可能地回報。Thank you!!

從12號離開台北到北京，也快三個禮拜了，有天あなた突然對我說他覺得我有點Home Sick，說不想家是假的，畢竟我也很久沒離開這麼長的時間，再加上之前家裡的狀況，感覺上情緒更容易起伏。那天在整理照片時看到之前幫容容照的照片，讓我更想家也更想他。

人跟人的緣分及相處真的很不一樣，現在一歳七個月的容容已經很懂事也聽的懂我們的話，畢竟我是唯一一個長時間跟他相處的阿姨，"阿姨"應該已經變成我的專有代號，其他姊妹們嘗試著要要一聲"姨"都不得其門而入。那天跟媽通電話時，他才提到容容在找我，一聽心就有點酸了，很難想像如果是自己十月懷胎的小孩，我能這麼久不見到他嗎? 我想答案是不可能的，那也是我為何堅決決定改變之前生活的原因，世事無常，我們得好好把握身邊的每一個人，每一個可以相處的時間及機會。

是的!! 我想家, 我想爸媽, 我想容容!! 陪あなた過完月底closing，我就要先回家一趟，一定可以讓我可以跟所有我心愛的人在一起!!

北京798藝術區

去年常來北京出差的時候就聽過柒玖捌藝術區的大名，這地方原本是之前德國援助中國建設的"北京華北無線電聯合器材廠"，之後因為當地的開發，將其有特色的"包浩斯建築"及閒置廠房改造成一個藝術特區，讓藝術家們來設置畫廊，工作室，文化公司或時尚店舖。

我一直想去看看，但都因為距離有點遠及時間不夠沒能拜訪，剛好上個禮拜五，あなだ晚上有應酬不會回家吃飯而且北京又是藍藍的天，就想趁那天好好出去走走。最近開始喜歡搭公車遊北京，雖然住的地方旁邊就有地鐵站，但總覺得在地面上可以看到更多有關這個城市的不同面貌，而且一趟公車才RMB0.4又可以不用在複雜的地道裡走動，讓我可以更喜歡搭公車。所以就從東方廣場到國貿轉車到大山子，這一趟讓我對北京東北地區有更好的方向感。

老實說，一到站下公車時，我還真的不知道園區在哪邊，後來問了一下才看到哪個小小的入口，開始走進去的時候還非常懷疑，因為旁邊都是公寓及工廠，走了一段路之後才慢慢開始看到畫廊及展覽的海報。整個地方跟我當初想的頗不一樣，原本以為是類似美術館的設計，但事實上是依著過去工廠的建築，讓不同的畫廊，店舖，咖啡館進駐，地方還頗零散，若手上沒張地圖我還真不知道該怎麼走。參觀了幾家畫廊，整體來說風格都比較現代畫畫風，所以我就開始挑一些有趣的店舖及書店看看有沒有些好玩的雜物或書籍，基本上店舖的東西可能跟外面一些時上的雜貨舖差不多，不過書店裡的東西就五花八門，從文學，藝術，建築，歷史，攝影都有，也讓我找到了季羨林先生的一些書。

有些咖啡館或餐廳設計也還不錯，若是想感受一下北京的藝術氣息又不嫌遠的話，我倒是建議可以來走走，要是交通方便的話這邊應該也是週末用餐或下午茶的好地方，可以遠離一下煩囂的城市感受一下不同的氣息。

3 Step Cooking - Bakery

I have been loving making things by myself. Cooking and baking are something I am pretty found of. Since young, I have seen daddy's cooking and because of my 5.5 years in Singapore, I have developed the cooking habit to firstly satisfy my eating desire for some specific dishes. As to Baking, I had been baking some cakes during my last year in uni since I got some free time after retiring from AIESEC. However, I didn't do much of baking since then because of the lack of equipments and tools.

During this long break, I did attend some Bread Baking session at CAKEDIY(飛訊) to pick up Break Baking as I used to make cakes instead. These two are pretty different in terms of the ingrediants and the methods applied.

So since I have much more free time in Beijing, I started to explore the Bread Bakery with this tiny and basic oven toaster provided by the service apartment. I firstly tried the 5 minutes bread receipt suggested by Jessica. She found it on tsui's blog - Anthoropologistin the kitchen 廚房的人類學家. However, it was very successful as it is too wet and difficult to make up the shape. So I decided to try another receipe book that I bought - 3 Step Cooking by Yummy. She started sharing her receipts with simple cooking method on blog and then published quite a number of cook books thereafter.

This time, I tried the Milk Bread and Crossoint. The result wasn't very good as the bread is very easy to get burn with the small oven like that. Besides, the bread wasn't raising properly as it may take longer than what I expected. However, the shape is almost there. Got to figure out some way to work together with this machine.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

It is あなた's Birthday and also my first time really cooking for him after almost one year. It should be quite suprising for those people who know and taste my dishes before that I can hold on to it for so long. Actually, I just do not have my kitchen and tools so that I can not do anything. Now I have a wonderful OPEN KITCHEN. Because of this, I bought 2 Great Berndes pans so that I can cook without worrying about the smoke that may go all over the place.

I am really excited about the new place in Beijing and this wonderful kitchen. I have started my "housewife" life since arriving and kind of enjoying it. However, I still need to get back to working life. Wish me good luck on those applications I have send out!!

前門大街

前門大街是直接接到天安門及紫禁城的一條大道，在網上搜尋資料的時候，也看到了這個有趣的北京順口溜 “東四西單鼓樓前，王府井前門大柵欄”，也可見前門在北京過去的重要地位，不單只是地理位置，前門也是許多北京百年老店的據點。但也因為商業發展重心的轉移，前門失去了過去的風采，也因此開始了這個重整計畫，打算重現前門清末民初的"京味兒"。週末因為Grace工作的New Balance - 新百伦在前門開了全球首家新概念體驗店，我跟あなた決定一起去前門瞧瞧也順便捧捧場。

我們一走靠近前門大街的大牌舫就看到New Balance活動的宣傳，在這個"古色古香"的地方進駐了許多歐美的風行品牌，從Hagen Daze到ZARA都讓我驚訝不已，老實說，我還只在中國看過Hagen Daze的電視廣告，而且還是很localized的。除此之外，就是這些北京有名的百年老店像是全聚德的總店，門外排隊的人潮行我們兩為之怯步，其實他旁邊還有個較高級的店面提供一人$399的套餐，也因為相對高價所以沒那麼多人，但我真的不覺得需要吃到$399的烤鴨。

所以繼續走著走著看到"都一處"，之前常在台北仁愛路四段看到"北平都一處"也聽到不少好評，我們倆就決定進去給他光顧一下。"都一處"是因為乾隆皇帝當年微服出巡時在年三十晚上光顧，前門其他店家都已打烊，便光顧這家小店，一問之下竟知小店沒店名，就隨口下了個"都一處"的名字，回去也叫人搬了個虎頭匾，這小店才慢慢發展了起來。我們進門一看菜單，聽說有名的是現做的燒賣，就決定試試他們的兩人套餐有小菜、炒時蔬、醬爆雞丁、炸丸子及豬肉燒賣。口味上還是北方既有的重鹹重口味，而現做的燒賣是最後上，老實說，那跟我們習慣的燒賣不太一樣，皮較厚而收口處也因沒有肉餡而顯的過乾，感覺上像是在吃包子，不過那醬爆雞丁卻是很不錯。

對"都一處"的結論是，對觀光客來說可能可以試試百年老店的特色，不過長駐的話可能就不在再次拜訪的名單上了。

首先，父親節快樂!! 還有新加坡生日快樂!!

這個八月八號對我來說是一個很不一樣的日子，這是我三年前決定由新加坡回台灣之後與我父親一起慶祝的第三個父親節，這也是我成為新加坡公民後的第一個新加坡國慶日，更重要的是今天是我外婆骨灰罈進塔的日子。

一直沒有提到這件事，因為這樣脆弱的情緒是我最不善於處理及面對的，從六月中外婆往生之後，我們的生活已漸漸回復正常，我也以為我已經收拾好我的心情繼續走下去。但今天下午一到禪寺拿起香祭拜外婆，眼淚及傷心的感覺立刻襲捲我，再上樓去請外婆住進"新家"，原本在眼框裡打轉的眼淚立刻掉了下來。這是我第一次真正面對也經歷失去親人的狀況，而外婆又是在祖父母中跟我最親近的，她往生的當晚其實我人在印尼，隔天得到消息，只能說是飛奔回台。

在あなた今年五月確定過去北京之後，我原本也打算八月後也一起過去，但因為外婆的事情及對媽媽的衝擊，讓我開始思考如何能夠兼顧あなた與父母親的生活模式。開始工作的話，我應該不太有可能有這樣的彈性可以經常往返，但現階段的我又還沒有清楚的方向可以開始自己的小生意可以讓我擁有時間及地點上的彈性，不過我相信我能夠找到方法去創造這個我想到的新生活模式。只願外婆在天堂每天快快樂樂也保佑爸媽身體健康，讓我無後顧之憂地開始繼續努力!

My 3 Little Babes

These are the pictures of our lovely 3 little babes. By now, I have 5 lovely nephews and niece. After the eldest 2 boys we welcomed 4 years ago. Now we have 3 more new members these 2 years. Other than my Ron Ron babe, we finally welcomed our first GIRL babe mid last year. Early this month, we have another new member joined our big family.

It's really interesting to have these kids around so that we can enjoy and witness the wonderful process of their growing-up. It's so amazing that they were just a LITTLE BABE about my arm tall but now they all grow up.

I have promised myself not to become over-aged pregnant woman and I hope to have 2 babes. That means I have 4 more years to deliver them. I really felt time is flying after welcoming more and more babes from my family and friends. I got to catch up then!!

Diving Again After 4 Years!!

My last dive was in May 2005 which was 4 years ago. I did not have the opportunity to go during my last year in Singapore and not to mention the recent 2 years back in Taipei. Therefore, at the beginning of my holiday, I've listed down all the things that I want to do during this break and "DIVING" is definitely one of them.

For my previous dives, I normally went with my instructor, Ying Kai, as I can rent all the equipments from him so that I don't need to buy any. Besides, there is certain trust level that I know I would be very safe while going with him. (For those interested in taking up Diving Courses, you may check out his website "the submersibles".)

Therefore when I started my holiday, I wrote to Ying Kai to ask for his diving trip schedules and finally I manage to make it for this wonderful Manado trip. Manado is located at the central of Indonesia Sulawesi island. It is a pretty famous diving spots because of its unique marine life and creatures. Other than those lovely fishes and creatures, we met those cute Dolphins also. It's really fund to have them chasing our boat and playing with us. It was an wonderful trip to get back to underwater world again to experience the beauty and peace of this amazing world.

I hope that I can go for diving at least once a year and let's go Green Island in Taiwan next year then!

蘇老師瑜珈斷食營 - 馬來西亞篇

這是我第四次參加蘇老師的瑜珈斷食營，一開始主要是因為需要紓解工作壓力及改善應該工作帶來不良生活習慣的問題，包括我長時間三餐不定時再加上吃的又急又快所造成的腸胃問題，每次回來總是覺得身體與精神都好非常多。基本上蘇老師提倡的瑜珈斷食是透過一段時間不進食來讓身體的精力專注在排毒功能上，至於詳細內容有興趣的可以參考"蘇老師瑜珈斷食營"。

我之前三次都是去老師在台南的中心，但這兩年來因為參加的人數太過踴躍，可能都需要提早三到四個月報名。我上次去的時候其實是今年的三月，但想趁我還再放假再去一次把身體作更好的調整，但從今年五月到九月都已經報名額滿，而我又剛好打算回新加坡一趟潛水去，就異想天開第問老師說有沒有可能去參加馬來西亞的梯次。應該也因為我這個異想天開的想法促成了幾位台灣學員也一同前往。

基本上課程的內容與在台灣是一樣的不同的是參與的大多是馬來西亞的學員，雖說我對馬來西亞還算熟悉，不過與這麼多馬來西亞學員一起渡過斷食營的七天倒還是頭一遭。除此之外另一個特色應該是最後一天的"大餐"吧!! 因為這次是由馬來西亞當地的老師主廚，第一次嘗到重口味的東南亞料理也可以走健康路線，應該是我其中一個大收穫吧!!

容容寶貝 - 16 months

Our dearest precious at home is my dearest nephew. My mom has been helping take care of him for my sister since he was born and now he is 16 months old already. It's so amazing to see a little baby growing up like this. He now can walk, run and talk in a very cute way. I finally understand why people always said that children between 1 to 3 years old are the cutest. Yes, he is really very cute!! I'm going to miss him a lot if not staying at Taipei that often. :Q

This is a great place that I discovered lately. I have been there 3 times in the past 3 weeks. The first time we were there for dinner. We ordered a twin-sharing set which was fantastic with good taste, settings and good price performance as the set includes appetizer, soup, salad, 2 main course, spaghetti, chocolate pot and drinks. Surprisingly, it costs only NT$999. The 2nd I was there for my AIESEC MC team mate gathering as Jessica and Frank happened to be back for holiday at the same time. I ordered their brunch and this afternoon I had a Vegetable Set.

I like this place because they are offering healthy, delicious and beautiful food. They emphasized on low-salt, low-oil and organic. Other than that, I like the quiet environment in the afternoon with the nice music. It's just like a cozy home that I would like to have in the near future. However, sometimes it would be a bit noisy during lunch and dinner because there are always full-house during the peak hours. Even though, I would still recommend you to try their stuff. Really nice and it's all home-make or hand-make. Check it out then!!

Tokyo Trip

It seems that I have been having my long holiday since beginning of the year. It is 100% true but guess I'm just used to have a packed schedule with all the different kinds of activities. So I have to say that I'm quite busy and therefore, I have not been writing much even though I'm actually on holiday! Sorry! :Q

Therefore, this one has been delayed for too long as I have returned from Tokyo for more than one month. I decided to keep up with my work on the blog since I have confirmed most of the things other than planning my new life in Beijing.

I was in Tokyo for 8 days this early April because of Sandy's wedding. Because it's such a unique trip to gather all the friends from different parts of the world, Sandy arranged 2 trips for us to enjoy the unique culture and beauty of Japan.

Before the wedding, we went to Izu, a famous peninsula near Tokyo for its Hot Spring and Sakura. I have been wondering why Jun choose April to be their wedding in Tokyo since the Taiwan one was held last Sep. Right after I arrived at Tokyo, I realized it's the best weather and the most beautiful season in Japan because of SAKURA.

I like Izu a lot as it's not so much a tourist place to me. We took high speed train to Izu and then transfered to the local train. That's the first time I really got in touch with the local local Japanese and experienced the great food, scenarios and beauty of Japan. After the wedding, we went to Nikko, also another famous place in Japan because there are famous temples for two of the great leaders in Japan's history. I can't really use words to describe all the nice parts I have experienced there but I believe you can see from my photos there (Jenny's Tokyo+Izu+Nikko Photo Set).

The most important event of this trip is of course Sandy's wedding. I'm really happy to see Sandy again in Tokyo because I can tell she really lives happily with the newly-wed husband. Guess that's what most of the girls want; find a partner who can really share their lives, up and down and most importantly to take care of each other.

They have a small but very decent wedding, very cozy and warm to me. It's held in a garden of a hotel in Japan. After participating in more and more of my girlfriends' weddings, I started to think how I want to hold mine. I do have some idea and hopefully, I would start this project soon. : )

去年決定辭職的時候，就想要趁這個機會嘗試不同的工作模式。主因是因為想要有自己可以自主的時間及做自己想做的事情，原本的想法是作有關於貿易的部分，畢竟我過去幾年的經驗都在行銷及進出口的部分。但做這樣的生意最重要的就是產品，要有unique的產品才能在這個競爭的市場中闖出一片天。

當時剛好有機會接觸到這個海鮮相關的公司，老實說，我對這個產品並沒有特別的感覺。但畢竟從小在海邊長大以及家族對水產事業的接觸，讓我覺得這可能也是個我嘗試新的事業模式的好機會。所以我從二月底開始這個網站的project，經過一開始概念的formulation，內容的準備到實際的上線及產品上架。其實execution對我來說，從來不是個問題，但之前都有同事或是agent作美工的動作，所以這次我倒是花了些時間去熟悉Photoshop及Dreaweaver。

Lifestyle

I have started my new lifestyle from the beginning of this year. I have a whole list of things to do that I can't make it with the busy working life. I traveled quite a bit to Singapore, Hong Kong, Macau, Japan and Taichung. Next month, I should have a trip back to Singapore, Malaysia and "DIVING" in Manado, Indonesia. I have taken quite a number of different courses including Japanese, Sketching, Bakery, Massage and my Makeup course would start soon in mid June. On top of this, I'm involved in setting up the online shopping site for my cousin's seafood retail business. To summarize my past 5 months of new life, I'm very happy, satisfied and feeling fulfilled. Those are things I've been missing for long time.

A lot of friends would ask why I make this decision as it really take some big courage to do different things from what most of the people are doing. However, I'm really glad that I made this decision so that I can at least have a good time which I may not have the opportunity if I'm getting into a family and with kids.

I'm planning to conitnue this until last the last quarter of this year and would start new one at another location!!

New Toy - Sony Cyber-Shot T90

I just bought the new Sony Cyber-shot T90 as my current one is about 5 years old and the battery can't really survive a few shoots already. I have been surveying and trying to find one with good performance, features and also price. I was thinking of T77 but by the time I decided, they have end that product line.

Therefore, I decided to go for the next generation, T90. There are 5 colors and I went for the Brown color one as that looks more elegent and sophisticated than the others to me. The most interesting and useful function to me is the "Smile Detecting" so that I can take my own pictures nicely.

Just share some nice one with you and I would be taking more during my trip to Japan next week!

Macau & HK 5 Days Trip

I was on 30 days Landing Visa into Taiwan and that's to say I have to leave every 30 days. So I have planned a few trips for this purpose. The first one is Macau and HK. I actually was planning for Angkor Wat but the direct flight schedule can not fit into our plan. Therefore, we switch to Macau and HK as he needs to visit HK to arrange some banking stuff.

We spend the first 2 days in Macau as I want to see Cirque Du Soleil's performance - ZAiA. They actually have it now in Taiwan but the ticket is quite expensive and are almost sold out already. Because of this, we stayed at Venetian. The room is really quite nice but the whole hotel/resort is too big and the managment isn't good enough to handle the huge demand. Besies, there are a lot of PRC visitors and that makes that place like a market instead of a 5 star hotel.

Then we visited Macau Island itself to see the historical site Ruins of St. Paul's. It's really a tourist site as there are tons of people around. To be frank, I think Macau is really for Casino. I might not have 2nd trip there soon unless there are some special arrangment.

One of the important missions this trip is to get my Visitor Visa so that I don't have to be bond by the 30 days. It's the same place that I got my working visa last time and therefore it's not easy for me. Besides, we also spend 3 days on Hong Kong Island last trip and I've got to know the place quite well. I requsted for Multiple Entry and valid for180 days. Surprisingly, it's free of charge and they granted me 1 year. It's actually 60 days for every entry but I can actually extend twice which makes up of 180 days. Taiwan government is really friendly for people like us. : )

After that, I finaly got the chance to visit Pininsula Hotel for their famous Afternoon Tea. The portion is really for 2 people though I ordered the one for One person. I just want to try the Traditional English Afternoon Tea. I actually arrived about 30 minutes earlier and just sit down. If not, I got to queue up for about 20 minutes as there are people starting to line up around 1:45pm. The food isn't so fantastic and it's quite noisy because of the crowd. However, it's a good expenrience to really try something which is recommended for long.

The other important mission is to meet up with all my OLD Friends. I haven't met up with Ceci after I left Singapore 2 years ago. We had spend a good time together as Housemates. We are just like family especially when we both are alone overseas. It's realy great to know that she is going well also and really great to meet up with my whole gang in Hong Kong. Thank you my Sis!!

過去式的曖昧

今天在自由時報的兩性異言堂版面讀到了這篇文章，＜過去式的曖昧＞前男友

小葳與前男友分手後，斷斷續續見過幾次面，原因多是有事相求。但兩人之間夾了一層「感情過去式」的特殊關係，碰面時難免有些不自在。

記得有句話是這麼說的：「分手後還能當朋友的情侶，必定有一人還沉默地愛著對方。」

小葳迷惘了。她對前男友的確還存有與一般朋友不同的情愫，但她無法確定那是不是愛。

有陣子他們見面的次數實在過於頻繁，她和他一起吃飯、一起逛街，有種熟悉感漸漸蔓延開來，彷彿每踏出一步，曖昧的成分就濃郁一些。

前男友開始向小葳傾訴煩惱，有時說些令人容易胡思亂想的話，每每在小葳的心中激起不小的漣漪，當下的她雖然嘻嘻哈哈的塘塞過去，但她上揚的嘴角透露出一絲欣喜。縱使往後的一切都是未知，小葳還是享受著被在乎的感覺。和他在一起，總會湧起莫名的期待。

直到前男友失聯了，小葳的喜悅頓時化為虛無。之前那些一起出遊的日子像夢境般變得不真實，她開始質疑先前的熟稔其來何自。

再度和前男友聯繫上，已是好幾個月後的事了。他說他交了女朋友，很忙。

小葳就像被人從後腦勺狠狠地敲了一記，又被殘忍地推進深不見底的幽谷中，連吶喊都來不及。

無以名狀的羞困盤旋不去，小葳仔細思索與他的相遇，驚覺前男友似乎都是在單身的狀態時才與她聯絡。她終於明白，原來前男友只是想在空窗期時有人陪伴，才會說出那種曖昧不明的話。

小葳除了心寒，也懊惱自己的意亂情迷，甚至一廂情願的編織各種可能性；唯一值得慶幸的是，她不再感到迷惑，此刻，小葳終於明白這個愛搞曖昧的男人，將永遠是她的，前．男．友。

昨天我才意外地知道過去那段刻苦銘心的感情只是因為兩個人的預設立場及想法和溝通不良。整個過程我不停的笑也不停的流淚，怎麼會有這麼白痴的兩個人，明明心中掛念著對方，卻因為沒有勇氣以及一些令人發笑的誤解，讓我痛了那麼久。

回憶都是美好的，而他對我來講一直都像是個未盡之夢，我花了一段不短的時間埋藏那段感情，傷口雖復原了但那傷疤依舊是清晰可見。從昨天開始，我的心就好像被原子彈轟擊了，震盪不已。

但現在的我已不在過去的位置，再加上之前的相處及昨天溝通的過程讓我也更了解他的個性及犯的錯誤。恰好讀到這篇文章，讓我更回想起那曖昧過程及溝通不良中造成的痛。我們只輕輕地帶過我現在過的很好其他都是在談過去因為他好像也知道我的現況，只是我又好像讓自己陷入不知如何自處的狀況。

曾經一直告訴自己不要有期望因為隨之而來的一定是失望，但現在只想告訴自己不能沒有希望。

Ending and Starting

We need to end so as to have a start. Therefore, I decided to end my current job so as to enter into another era. I have been in this HR Consulting/Head Hunting line for about 2 year. It's not really long but long enough for me to realize a solid working experience and foundation is needed to really perform and advise clients. So I decided to move on either start up a small business by myself or enter into corporate in 5 or 6 months later if I do not manage to come out something solid.

Ideally, I would like to have a flexible lifestyle in terms of time management and traveling. I believe once my boyfriend starts working, he would be much busier than I was and therefore I want to have a flexible lifestyle to suit his. Besides, his location would definitely not be in Taiwan because of the scope. I want to be where he is but I also want to spend time with my parents back here. Therefore, I believe a small business of mine to have some income and also the flexibility for my love ones would be the most ideal for me. My last day is 31st Dec 2008 and I would start the new chapter on the firsts day of a new year!! : )

The Women

We were thinking of watching movie 渺渺 tonight. When reaching the movie Miramar, they do not have that one and I just chose "The Women".

It's a movie all about WOMEN. There is no male in the movie other than the baby boy who was born in the end of the movie. So it might be cliche but it's talking about various roles women play in the contemporary society. To be very frank, I wasn't sure if we should go for this movie together because there are some sensitive topics that I yet to figure out how to discuss and share with him including marriage, divorce and relationship with kids & family. There are some questions in my mind, but I don't know if I really want to know what happened as I'm afraid I'm not ready for that yet.

For this movie, I think it's made up of different types of women and their various roles covering career-businesswomen, mother, daughter, wife, friends. Each one may have their own challenges or issues but we all need to decide the type of life we want and just go for it. These few roles are also what I have been thinking over and over.

1. Career-businesswomen: I have been regarded as Businesswomen as I have been very business or career-minded since AIESEC time to my previous job. To be frank, the reason why I chose to join the current company without searching for job at all is because I saw a role model that I wanted to be, a successful businesswomen taking charge of the company and also being a mother and wife. That's what I dreamed of since young.

However, it's different or I should say I have changed. I no longer saw that as a role model as I have not yet really seen a woman who can successfully play the role to be a successful businesswomen, a good wife and a good mother at the same time. We all have limited time, energy and efforts. Most of the women I have seen are juggling the few roles like glass balls on hand at the same time and most of them fail to hold them all successfully as at the end of the day, we all have 2 hands only.

I actually had the idea of having a flexible lifestyle to fit my ideal life for my own business/career (might be running the business together with my husband), for my husband and my kids. As of now, the idea comes stronger as I really like to spend more time with him and possibly the kids in the future.

Interestingly, my business leader gave me this book, 像我一樣勇敢, by Olga 吳美君. She shared the failure as she was fired on three jobs: General Manager of KFC Taiwan, Wife and Mother. After so many things, she learned to have a different life to play these few roles together with a different approach, priority and value. Just like what's described in the movie, when Mary launched her collection successfully in the end and the leading department store wanted to place big order, she wants to think over if she doesn't want to have such a big scope as she would lose the time and energy she's supposed to share with her daughter.

Guess by now, I'm quite clear about the type of life I want. I want to have a job or a business that I can demonstrate my capability and also contribute to the world but I also want to have the spare time and energy to be a good, understanding, supportive wife and mother. That's something I do not want to compromise and that's something I do not think it can be achieved in my current company and position. On top of the passion and interest issues I have, this is the biggest concern and challenge I have on this job.

2. Wife: In any failed marriage especially those because of affairs, people mostly would ask what they have done wrongly. To me, there are only 2 principle that can't be broken. First, no violence and second, no affairs. These two are something I can't compromise. My idea is if we still love each other, we treat the other with all our heart but if either one party does not love the other already, then just speak it out and we do not need to force the other party as the love is no longer exist and it's a torture for that party. So if I really encountered this, I would definitely feel betrayed but I would also walk out of that and stand up firmly to lead my own happy life. I had the experience to be confronted by a married man but I just felt very bad about that as I do not want 3rd party in my marriage and I don't want to be one to others, either.

3. Daughter: Mother is always the role model for the kids especially for the daughter as they are the closest connected 2 people in the world but there are still distance between them. The daughter want to be as good as the mother but they also saw part of their mother's life that they don't want. So there are at times conflicts in between. The daughter wants to seek approval and recognition from the mother as she may realized that they just have different value and priority in life. However, I believe they all love each other all hearted.

4. Mother: I have been thinking about kids and maybe it's because of my age and also my nephews. I want to have 2 kids as one alone is just too lonely. Besides, I would love to and need to spend time with them as I have been the "key kids(鑰鉂兒童) since young. I don't want my kids to have that unsecured feeling like me though I have fully understand why my mother needed to do this arrangement so many years later.

Therefore, I think I'm getting a clearer and clearer picture about my ideal lifestyle and how I want to lead my life. Passion, dream and belief are the fundamental of my life and happiness. Now it's just my courage to act on it.

Life

I started to have a different lifestyle lately because of my partner in life. Other than the regular dinner we have together for most of the days, we enjoy various activities including concerts, musics, arts and some outings. The very first place we went is the Palace Museum as I have be thinking of going but can't really find a good partner.

Last Sunday, we went for St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra's Performance in Taipei. The first piece is Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No. 1 and Denis Matsuev is really AMAZING!! I have not listened to performance like this for a long long time. They are really good as one of the top three orchestras in Europe.

Yesterday, we went for Sandy Lim's concert. I started to listen to her song since high school. She got a very touching voice and also the songs are just so classical for my precious memories. " 至少還有你" is my favorite song that I would sing every time in KTV.

We all have some wonderful memory in life. Bitter or Sweet, they are part of our life. I always believe there is nothing to regret for though we may feel pity for something we miss. However, in the end of day, I would enjoy every single moment with positive energy and attitude.

One Month

In the past one month, I have been through some unique experiences.

1. Nationality Convertion: I've officially converted my nationality to be a Singaporean. There are a lot of different thoughts in between but finally I made the decision and executed. Therefore, I spend one week plus in Singapore to register and process for my passport. In the past 2 weeks, I was waiting for my Taiwan work permit and also just returned from Hong Kong last Friday with my working/resident visa. It's very interesting experience when holding a different passport entering my motherland and even got to apply for Visa here but anyways, it's just part of the process for my next stage of life.

2. Work: I've never see myself as an employee as I only believe in running the business together with the organization so that I can "work" as though it's my own business. However, we encountered some severe casualty lately and I believe it's more about internal issues from the management style, philosophy, viewpoints and approaches. Though the market is getting tougher especially in this uncertain market situation, there are still a lot of organizations growing with enormous speed and it's because they have a group of people with united heart and belief. I'm still monitoring and observing how the organization is handing this challenge and situation as that's the best way for me to see the real way they look at people. This would also be the foundation for me to decide for the next step.

3. Life: I've also entered a relationship one month plus ago. Everything just happened so fast and it's just like a miracle. The first time, I haven't seen any conflicts between 2 people in all the aspects other than the possible feedback from my family. The most important thing I learned in the past one month plus is we all can be easily satisfied with basic and simple stuff; just a simple meal or a short walk can be so satisfying as long as with the right person.

So now, I'm a happy and satisfied "little woman" and look forward to the next stage to come in my life.

Annual Function in Hokkaido

It's our annual company function last weekend in Hokkaido and it's also my first time participating. It's kind of recognization event so that we need to meet certain criteria to be eligible for the event. Basically, it's a GROUP tour to me and I'm not really used to this as we spend most of the time on traveling to visit a lot of tourist sites. However, my traveling style is more towards long stay at one location and really walk around the city to have a feel about the life there.

Anyway, it's still an interesting event especially for the Gala Dinner - Oscar Night. So I put on my usual and only one DRESS and the eye-catching effect is really quite good.

A New Beijing Experience

This is my 5th trip to Beijing this year. I didn't really got chance to walk around this city as I only stayed over one weekend. However, this time, I really experienced the unique weather here.

The temperature dropped to around 10 degree since last Wed but it's very similar to the weather in Europe. It's just cooling but sunny sometimes, which was quite enjoyable provided that I did bring some appropriate clothes with me. Heard from my colleagues that it was not that easy to see the BLUE BLUE sky in Beijing because of the weather and the air pollution. I would have to say I'm really lucky to be there last week although I've also caught a cold because of the sudden weather change.

However, because of the weather change, I've also found the famous Master Kong Beef Noodle (康師傅私房牛肉麵) which is a successful Taiwanese Beef Noodle chain store in China. I got the chance to taste the familiar hometown taste and also the hot soup during the cooling day. Really satisfying!!

My Ideal Apartment

We finally found a nice service apartment with reasonable price in Beijing and I would have to say this is my ideal apartment especially now I do think of buying a small space for myself. What I need is a separate living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. Th space is about 70 square meter and it's really sufficient for one person or even two.

I actually was thinking if open kitchen would work for me as some of my favorite dishes are stir fry but that might be good to push me to adopt healthier cooking methods.

As to the bedroom, the most important part for me is the bed. I need a comfortable mattress, bed sheet, pillow and quilt to really have a good night sleep and rest. More importantly is the CARPET. The one they have in the bedroom is really very nice.

The last one is bathroom with BATHTUB. A bath at the end of the day can really help me release the stress and also can help blood circulation.

I would have to say I've found a ideal design for my own apartment and should work on it continuously.

前兩個禮拜在跟我北京的leader談完後
也有機會跟我大老闆談了一下
他開門見山地問我是不是想quit
老實說我是真的有在想

但他也直接指出我只是一直想要追求我要的
但我的問題在於我不清楚知道我要的到底是什麼
所以我只要一開始這個所謂"追尋"的過程
這將會是個無止盡的過程
因為一當我們開始專注在我們所沒有的
我們就一直在匱乏的心態跟想法
但我沒想到是我已經是很幸運的了
我沒看到我手上已經有了很多的東西
我有一群value我的leaders, 同事, 家人, 朋友
所以我應該轉移我的focus到what I can give
簡單的來說就是一個giving mindset

所以這個禮拜在北京我用了一個完全不同的態度及想法跟Candidate, 客戶或同事互動
那個感覺及對方的回應完全不一樣

所以我只能說我覺得繼續在我的崗位上盡我所能
不再去強求一些還沒有答案的問題
最近讀到篇文章的topic是

今天的他有點頹廢

ㄧ臉鬍渣髮型跟第二張照片比較類似

ㄧ看到就粉有感覺

之前老闆找我飛北京的時候

就說我既然沒時間social

在飛機上應該可以看到一些人

竟然給他說中了

不過要真的"碰"到一些人可就沒那麼簡單嚕...

Sandy & Jun's Wedding

Sandy and Jun got married last weekend when we have the biggest typhoon in Taiwan. Our gang of girls are just the Organizing Committee Members. I'm the one looking after the logistics but thanks for Emily, she is the mastermind of the whole event.

The first session is on Saturday night, 14th Sep, at a nice resort Young Lake Hotel (明湖水漾). A very nice and cosy place. We were planning a garden wedding as the view outside is very nice but we got to change to indoor because of the typhoon. Though we don't really have all the 180 guests, there were still 130 people there even though it's a STRONGEST typhoon. We were joking even Typhoon are here for Sandy and Jun's wedding.

There is another session on Sunday, 15th Sep, lunch and it's a Local Taiwanese style with KTV. This one is much easeir as we didn't need to plan any programs and the guests would just go up to SING!! That was an eye-opening event for the overseas guests. : )

I'm really happy to see Sandy find her life-time partner and because of this, she decided to move to Japan to be able to stay together with Jun. That's love and destiny I guess.

They would have another wedding ceremony in Japan next April and we are going to organize a Sakura Trip all together then. haha..

真是對他很不好意思
在這個多事之秋還多丟了個難題給她

講完了我的想法
她的回應竟是我的更年期到了
不過這個是29轉30歲單身女性的更年期
更有趣的是
他一直在想公司內還有哪些角色我可能有興趣而且適合的
因為他覺得我這只是過度期的反應
過了30歲之後就會發覺我當初怎麼會做那樣的反應跟決定

老實說我也在想怎樣是對大家最好的安排
真的不想因為我而帶來不好的影響
好好想想...

Reflection and Decision

前兩天去誠品買書的時候看到他獨奏會的傳單
最後一次聯絡已經是一年多前的事
當時並沒有太深刻的感覺
只是無法理解為何不能當面說清楚就這樣消失
(或是我假裝沒有感覺;我已經太習慣隱藏自己的感覺及情緒)
或許對他來說沒有解釋的必要

偶而在看音樂廳節目表時會想起他
但最近發生的事及我在思考的東西讓我清楚回想起他跟我說過的話
或許真的因為他過去教練的身分或是每個進出我們生命的人都是我們的導師
我開始用不同的角度審視自己的生命及生活
也因此做了些重要的決定

一直以為我是非常的獨立、堅強、而且自主的人
但是最近才認知到我一直活在這個獨立、堅強的形象及框架裡
或許因為獨生女的原因
從小就被教育的要非常獨立、凡事靠自己
因為我沒有任何人可以依靠
而且我還要肩負起照顧父母親的責任
再加上因為身旁眾多外遇及離婚的例子
我心底對感情及婚姻是抱持著懷疑且害怕的態度

所以我越害怕便越武裝自己
我告訴自己越不在乎便越不會因為失去而痛苦
所以我埋藏我的感覺及情緒
變成了一個冷酷、冷靜、理性的人

曾經思考過為何在已明確知道我們會有的衝突下
還是決定走進那段感情
現在回想起來
我清楚知道那段時間是我開始認知及感受到那個深藏在我內心深處的真我
那個脆弱及害怕失去的小女孩
他獨特敏感的感受力
看到了那個小女孩也看透了我
但也因為我本能的掙扎、本能的想維持我那塑造出來的能幹形象
讓他在幾次嘗試之後放棄了我

而最近在工作上及生活上的幾個事件
讓我清楚的了解到
我一直生活在別人的期望中
做的事情都是為了符合大家的期望以及自己一句我怎麼可以或可能做不到
去年年初開始這份工作，剛開始的六個月是非常辛苦的
我做不出成績來
但我不相信我做不到，再加上我有個很好的mentor(現在是我的好姊姊)
我硬是拼到一個不錯的成績，但老實說裡面有很多大家的幫助

今年七月之後，因為一些事件讓我開始思考我想要什麼
老實說工作上我並不真的享受
我不覺得以我現在的經驗及能力能夠真的給予客戶及candidate建議
所以我不喜歡這種很虛的感覺
做業務最痛苦的應該就是不能deliver當初給客戶的承諾吧
八月初有個同事離職
公司高層的反應也讓我覺得我不能輕易放棄
所以我決定要撐下來
但八月中看到了一個生命逝去
讓我深刻感受到如果我不快樂、我不享受、我不喜歡
硬撐下去那又如何?
沒有人知道明天或後天會發生什麼事
如果我還繼續再做一些我不真的享受的事只是為了證明我可以而且符合大家的期望
那有什麼意義嗎?
公司曾幫我們做過指紋分析
其中一個有關於我的例子
就是個在舞台上表演的小孩
他從頭哭到尾但卻是唯一把動作都做完整也做好的小孩
但我清楚知道我不想要自己是那樣

當然我跟一些人討論這個情形
但讓我訝異又難過的是我母親的反應
當她聽到我想離開的想法
她的反應是我是個沒有責任感、懦弱、膽小、沒有能力也沒有擔當的人
怎麼可以碰到困難就想離開
她還要靠我生活、靠我養
我怎麼可以就這樣休息不工作
霎時之間我才了解到我一直生活在她期望的形象中
我必須要獨立、堅強、負責任、能幹
我必須要對她們負責、我必須要養她們、我不能就結婚另組家庭而把她們拋下
老實說，我不怪她
我可以理解她害怕被丟下的感覺

但我也因此理解到她心底從小就教育我不要相信感情及婚姻的原因
因為我另組家庭就因此離他們倆遠去
那種想要我”幸福”但又怕我丟下她的感覺
但我不想再被這些形象、期望所操縱
我只想活出我自己、過我想過而且歡喜的生活

所以我決定要休息
去做那些永遠在我wish list上卻永遠沒有時間跟機會做的事
我要去潛水(我已經四年沒下水，我不敢相信我竟然這樣對我自己)、回去斷食營、旅行、做眼睛雷射手術、調養身體回復我容光煥發的面容跟身材、做瑜珈、按摩、泡溫泉、泡書店、學跳舞、拍個人照、還要榮重慶祝我30歲生日!!

工作上我還沒跟老闆們明講我想要離職而不只是休息
因為我還不能理解他們為什麼一直想留我
我承認我工作很認真，我從不把自己只當員工而是當作自己的事業在作
所以我一定要對我的工作、事業有熱情
但我清楚看到我其實並不喜歡這份工作
只是為了證明我可以做到而一直撐下來
就算是一開始，我還清楚記的他問我為什麼要做的這麼辛苦
每次接我下班，只看到一個全身虛脫的我而感受不到我的快樂及熱情

老實說，很多話他當時跟我說我都不能接受
覺得他只是很大男人地評論我的工作、生活、及責任感
現在才知道他點出了很多我不知道也不敢去面對的問題

這兩天原本還在想應該跟公司說要休長假還是就提離職
但經過這樣的思考跟分析
我想過了三個月之後
我也不會變得喜歡這份工作
我也不想再過這樣每天忙來忙去卻空虛的日子

我想要從容優雅的過我的每一天
所以我想答案應該很明顯了

我現在其實是在香港飛北京的飛機上
前兩天還在想我星期五跟大老闆談完之後應該就不會飛了吧
但沒想到他的行程又有了改變
所以我們應該只有明天在北京才有機會談這件事吧

但我最過意不去的應該是我在北京的leader
在她們最需要協助的時候離去
但我相信這個集團及這群人可以克服所有的困難
缺一個我也不會有太多的差別的

所以接下來要想的事怎麼去創造一個可以讓我有自由生活的工作模式
在思考一些可以協助之前公司或朋友的方法
讓我可以享有自由的工作模式也可以有份收入

人真的是會改變的(我媽說我是善變的!!)
不同的階段也不同的想法
總以為我是事業心很強的
但現在覺得我是那種可以為了家庭及小孩放下事業的人
或許我現在正當在尋偶期的高峰吧!!

內容就不在這裡多提了

反正是推薦一定要去看的

對我來說
最近一直在思考我人生所要追求的什麼
感覺上被很多有形無形的東西牽絆著我
而在這框架中無法伸展
也看不到真正的自我

片中人物在感情上的流露
真實的面對自己的感情
應該是我最感動也是現在最該做的事吧

我不介意看第二次
所以如果還沒找到伴去看的再來問我嚕

最後一次看到他是去年我去聽個音樂會的時候

Beijing City Tour

My first time spending weekend in Beijing. It was a relaxing day yesterday after one week hard fight. So I just went for body message here yesterday afternoon. The one I went for is a local one called, Trendy Stone Spa. Other than the 60 minutes Hot Stone Spa, I also did body message. The service is ok but the facilities is considered old to me. During the message, I was told that my liver and gall are not very good as my neck and shoulder are so tight. Besides, I also have Breast Hyperplasia and the left side has more severe symptom. The therapist was jocking with me that it could be because I don't really speak out my mind to release my emotion. So the left side also where the heart is has more serious symptoms. So today, I try to relax further more as I plan it a Miniature Palace Day as I'm not yet planning to visit Forbidden City.

The first stop of the day is Yong He Gong(雍和宮). It was a residence place for one of the Qing Dynasty Empire before he assumed the Empire position and therefore, it kept this place and make it a temple for Budda.

I actually can smell the smock far far away because there are a lot of people praying there but it's not allowed to take pictures inside those temples. There are quite a number of temples there for different Budda and others. A very beautiful place to see the traditional Chinese buildings and I can imagine how magnificent Forbidden City would be.

After this, I went to Guozi Jian Street where, Confucius Temple and Guozi Jian (the highest education institutions back then), are. This street is famous for those traditional buildings/sites and the nice scene.

Confucius played a very important role in Chinese History and Culture. The concept and behavior they provoked are the guidelines for people even nowadays.

Interestingly, this statue was actually donated and devoted by a Taiwanese, 楊清欽, from Taichung 鹿港.

This is the very few places that I can take pictures inside the hall and from the setting and decoration, we can tell the Qing Style it has because of the Manchu style decoration.

Then, the next stop is Guozi Jian, the highest education institute, at that time. There is an interesting place for people to pray for their examination result to pass and enter the schools they want.

Along the street, there are some interesting cafe place and shops, that I found the interesting combination of Modern and Traditional at one of the oldest areas in Beijing.

It was very hot today and I had been sweating like hell. After visiting these few place, it's about noon time already and the next place I want to go is Price Gong's Mansion & Garden. Therefore, I decided to go Jiumen Beijing Snack Restaurant(九門小吃), where they gathered all the famous local snacks.

This place is full of people and the NO AIRCON. I was sweating like hell but I think since I've came all the way here, I just picked some interesting food to try. To be frank, I don't really find them very testy and it seems to be selling the "NAME" actually. Or maybe, it's just too hot that I can't enjoy the food.

After the snacks, I went to the Prince Kong's Mansion. It only opened up the garden side to public as the building side itself was campus for Beijing Musical School and there is nothing much left to see already. The garden was not so big though it's really quite beautiful but those in Southern China are much better I believe.

I was heading back to hotel after this as I have been walking non-stop from morning. However, the taxi driver was very chatting and shared with me some more history about Beijing as he is the so-called OLD BEIJING because they have at least 5 generations living in Beijing. He told me about the Royal Temple (東嶽廟) as that is the temple only for Royal and high level people until 1999.

So I just went as he suggested. The entrannce price is double as most of the places I visited and there is a guide bringing me along the way. This temple has been established 700 years ago and it was very famous for granting Wishes. They have 8 types of different wishes for oneself, parents and children. Since I'm here and convinced by the taxi driver, I decided to take the 8 wishes as well though the cost is quite high. So I'm would be getting better and better as I've just walked through the path all the previous emperors and famous people walked to go for their goals.

Haircut

Had haircut this evening at Franck Provost, a hair salon at Beijing. It was highly recommended by our chairman when he visited Beijing. Then our GM also tried and brought me over. It's my 2nd time doing my haircut here and I found it quite good. It's not very different from my usual hairstyle as I want to keep it long. I like the service here and it's really quite easy to manage and maintain my hair.

Malaysia Food in Beijing

Just arrived this evening after leaving from Taipei in the morning. As the direct flight between Taiwan and China is only available during weekend, I still need to transit via Hong Kong as it's a TUESDAY. So it practically takes me the whole day traveling from Home to Beijing.

This time, I also helped one of my colleagues relocated from Taipei to Beijing bring one of his luggage. Therefore, he treated me for a good dinner tonight. We went to Awana and we didn't know it's Malaysia food until we reached there but we still decided to go in as it's recommended by someone.

Food is quite OK but the price is VERY VERY high. Maybe to us, it's like any Hawker food in Singapore and Malaysia but it became a delicacy here in Beijing. We ordered one Otak-Otak (really just ONE), Nasi Lemak, Sayur Tohu, Teh Tarik to share and it costs RBM130.

Would not really recommend unless you really really hungry for Malaysia/Singapore food because of the price but it's really a good restaurant with nice food and atmosphere.

Singapore

Back in Singapore last week to register my Singapore citizenship but I didn't really get it done actually but that's the story on Monday. Let's start from the weekend as my best friend, Grace, happened to be in Singapore as well.

The hotel cost in Singapore has been more than double because of the whatever demand. So I booked Grand Central Hotel at Orchard because they offer 130nett for 7 days stay. That's considered good price based on the location. However, the hotel room is really terrible. I have very high threshold for accommodation because of my traveling experience. I can stay at backpackers place or even some those budget places but I can't really stand places old, smelly and suffocating. On that night itself, I just moved to Grace's hotel at Swissotel and of course it's much much better as it's the 5 star standard.

Swissotel is also one of my favorite places in Singapore as I really love the City Space at the 70 floor because of the view, atmosphere and the drinks there. On Sunday night, Grace and I decided to be the tourist to visit the newly open Singapore Flyer. Can't really take any picture because of the blue light inside the capsule. The conclusion is the view and atmosphere at City Space is really very good. :)

On Monday, I went to Taipei Representative office in SG to renounce my Taiwan citizenship but only then I realized that I need some other documents from the tax office and also the police. I actually checked with one of my colleagues on what to prepare for this renouncement but she total forgot about mentioning this part to me. Therefore, I didn't renounce my Taiwan citizenship and therefore can't continue with the registration part in the afternoon. When I know about this, I started to wonder if it's a sign to ask me not to do this conversion as things happen for a reason. Anyway, in the end, I still decided to do it but just not sure if Singapore government would allow me to delay until Oct as I won't be able to be there for another 5 days until next quarter.

Anyway, the only thing I realized this trip is the cost of living in Singapore is SKY HIGH right now. I used to say the taxi fare there is very cheap but nowadays it's easily double digit for any trip with all the surcharge. As to hotel, it's even more terrible. After the first 2 nights at Swissotel, I moved to Hotel Link.

This kind of place is charging SG$225 nett which is terrible to me. I would really need to book early for my usual backpacker's place at Hive Backpackers Hostel.

Taiwanese v.s. Singaporean

Going back to SG again next week as I decided to register for my Singapore Citizenship after my application 2 years ago. It was approved last June and I just got the final notice from Singapore government late May.

I have been delaying this action as I'm still thinking and working out some other possibilities to find a best way out. The main reason why I applied for the citizenship was the traveling issues I got back in SG. However, I'm currently working in Taiwan now and this might cause some issue for me as I would become "FOREIGNER". Anyway, I still decided to go for it as I can see some advantages for my work, life or family. So when I return to Taiwan on 19th Jul, I would become SINGAPOREAN. I can foresee the confusion coming along the way but worth a try I think.

Blackberry

Got my company Blackberry last Friday. Normally, only team leaders in my company would have one but our GM decided to give me one because I would start to travel between Taiwan and Beijing officialy starting from Jul 2008. It would be a great convenience on the road as internet connectivity won't be easily available anywhere especially when we got flight delayed.

I'm used to my Dopod as I have been using it for more than 3 years and there are some good application softwares such as finance or others that I've been using for years. However, these are not available on my BB because of the IT policy from the company. So I do start to think if I should get the latest HTC Touch Dimond as well because my Dopod 818pro is dying soon but the issue is I'm going to bring 2 BIG phones. Besides, I just got my Sony Ericssion 810 beginning of the year and I do enjoy it's camera function. Anyway, would find a few way out. : )

Beijing

My first trip to Beijing is about 1.5 month ago for business. Our Beijing office is officially set up in mid June and I was asked to take the position to cover both Beijing and Taiwan as we need people to work on Tech sector in Beijing. I went there twice so far to meet up with potential clients and those 2 trips were quite good so that both my supervisor and I decide to take up this task officially starting from 1st Jul 2008.

During my first trip there, I stayed back for one more day so as to walk around this CAPITAL city of China. I really like this city because of all the historical stuff that I can find and feel over there. Interestingly, our office is located at the most expensive and busy area of the city but I really love those historical sites.

I went to the Forbidden City but I didn't go in as I planned to spend 2 full days there after Olympic because they are still renovating that place.

After this, I just walked around the city as I always like to go to the local place to feel how people there live. So I had my lunch at a small lane. The bowl of noodle and the hot fried cake only cost me RMB4.5. Don't think my colleagues would be interested in this kind of place as we are used to the "HIGH CLASS' stuff but I really enjoy this part especially when traveling.

Yes, I would start the traveling life again and this time it's much more challenging because of the business and market. Not sure how long it's going to be but I don't really question so much about future as what I really care is the current moment. I do enjoy my work though it's challenging and tiring. I also decide to adjust my work style to make it more effective and efficient as well as to achieve the ultimate "work life balance" goal. it could be more difficult since I would be traveling again but I could probably find another type of lifestyle when I'm start the regional life in Beijing.

Went to watch "Sex and the City" yesterday as I just want to know the ending of this long story. Of course, it's another "happy forever and ever" ending as that supposed to be what everyone is expecting. Only this time, I realized the reason why my girlfriends told me that BIG is my type. Yes, successful, handsome, tall, strong, rich, OLD. Those are almost everything I'm talking about. Guess that's also the reason why we all think I should open for Divorcee as nobody at my age would be able to have that kind of life experience.

Lately, my relationship becomes an interesting topic among friends and familly. I accompanied one of my close friends for furtune telling as she needs to make some decision about marridge, work and even the place to live. So I also took that chance to ask about myself. Accoridng to that one, I would only met HIM after Mar 2009 and I might only be able to get married in 2011 which is another 3 more years. However, my mom was curious and went to ask another "TEACHER". Interestingly, this one told her that I might probably get married and having kid late 2009. Beginning of the year, my ex-colleague also asked for me and that teacher said HE is around me but I just didn't know.

We sometimes went to Futune Telling becuase we are not sure of what's going to be and the best decision to make. However, these are somehow confusing if we are getting different questions, which makes the whole situation even more complicated. To me, I still believe he would be here when he is supposed to be. What I need to do is just "BE OPEN" and "BE POSITIVE".

我們家最近多了個寶貝, 就是我大堂姐的二兒子, 因為我媽已經退休所以有空幫忙帶小孩. 我這才發覺小孩子對家庭的影響很大, 一個禮拜中那兩三天就讓我們這個小家庭熱鬧很多. 尤其是上了年紀的老人家, 越覺得生活有了新的樂趣.

所以我也加入成為了帶小孩俱樂部的一員, 從小孩子互動的動作跟聲音就很多的樂趣, 我想現在肯定的是我已經不那麼排斥生小孩, 因為這真的是生命中另一種學習跟體驗.

上個禮拜我堂姐把他帶去剪頭髮, 誰知道他竟然給人家剃光頭, 這禮拜看到時是真的嚇了一大跳, 不過他說這樣頭髮會長的更漂亮, 所以就拭目以待嚕!!

Car Accident and Goes My GUCCI!

I'm so optimistic that I took the little car accident I got 2 weeks ago as a POSITIVE thing. I was walking on the street and there was a woman riding motobike with her kid and crossing by my side. Not sure what happened but their backward mirrow caught up with my handbag holder and dragged me for a short distance. Luckily, there was no major injury for me and both of them. HOWEVER, the holder broke and the pattern on the surface got damaged because of the pulling force.

At that moment, I did not ask for any compensation as I felt it's not so appropriate to ask since I supposed that's a mommy riding the kid to school. I thought I would be very pised off but I just take it like a small accident and also because of this, I really decided to buy a new handbag which I was thinking for a while.

So YES, I got a CAR ACCIDENT but I also got my NEW GUCCI!!

Mt. Yang Ming Flower Season

Decided to have one day rest at home as I have been very busy and really want to leave work in office only. Besides, I haven't got chance to walk outdoor for a long while. Therefore, I asked mommy to visit Mt. Yang Ming together this afternoon.

The weather is very good. Sunny but cooling so we can really enjoy walking around and enjoy the nice scene and flowers. It's actually very convenient to go there from our place by bus. I think I would much more time visiting there and really enjoy the beauty of Taipei.

I was thinking of going for Hot Spring but mommy decided to go back home as my dad is staying at home. It's a pitty but I would definitely go again!!

閱讀對我來說是一種很好的自我成長方式，可能也因為我本身比較喜歡靜態的活動, 就算是潛水及瑜珈相對來說算是動作不會太激烈的。上個禮拜去拜訪Maggie的新家，更發現我們兩看的書還有蠻大部分的重疊，讓我開始研究了一下我的書單。

在台南高鐵車站時就看到幾本有趣的書想買，但就想等回到台北的誠品在買還可以有折扣及積點。所以今天就買了好幾本書，等我一一讀完再來跟大家報告。

Tainan One Day Trip

Visited Tainan today to meet one candidate before his meeting with our client. This candidate has been working in China and therefore we haven't got the chance to meet him in person. Therefore, we were thinking to meet him up before his meeting with client to have a better control and idea over his state of mind.

Originally, we would meet for lunch but he was late for almost 2 hours because of the traffic on high way. Therefore, my colleague, Mills, brought me to one of the famous and long-history local market, 永樂市場, to try the famous Tainan local food.

We first had 米糕 and 四神湯 at this shop which has more than 50 years history. Then the famous 燒肉 and 土魠魚湯, which has similar long history.

It's really quite interesting to visit different places but I need to find a good partner to go and share the joy together. Therefore, my new year resolution this year is to buy my first property as I want to change to a new apartment with lift for my parents and the second is to find my life partner or soul mate to share my life together.
