I didn't really have chance to gather with my cousines especially for the past 5 years out of Taiwan. All of us have our own story and growing up process. It's really great to gather again after so many years and so many different developments. We started meeting for lunch once a while from last year. Last weekend, we organized another one.
Time really flies as I really haven't seen some of them for years. I can't really recognize them as the image I have toward some of them are still the little girl or boy in kingergarden but now they all grow up. I'm the eldest but smallest in size. What an interseting description!

Han's Wedding
Guess it has been the season for all the important events like Wedding or Baby. In the past one month, I have been attending 3 weddings and 1 more to go next weekend. The farest one should Han's wedding in Manila on 30th Dec 2007. We had quite a big group flying from Taiwan, US and China. We only reached one day before the wedding and visited one restaurant to try the "LOCAL" food. To be frank, I can't really tell it's "unique" Philippine food as it tasted like TW or MY food to me.
It was a church wedding in the afternoon. We just started the photo taking session while waiting for the transportation at hotel lobby.
The session in Church is the traditional Catholic ceremony and all of us were quite confused as we were not sure the process and meaning of each actions but that was quite an interesting experience for me as the previous church wedding I attended were Christian style.
There was a Pool Side dinner after the church one a nice garden villa they rented. All of us almost went crazy as we all drank a lot. You should be able to tell from how drunk I was from the picture as my face and body as really red. I really like the Photographoer they hired as they were so efficient to come out a video clip for the dinner. You guys can check out these 2 links for the video and pictures.

The next day was New Year eve. We had a great New Year Eve dinner as you can see from the previous post. After that, we walked back to the hotel and saw the count down party they had on the main street.

2007 New Year Eve Dinner
A few of us continued to stay one more day after the wedding. So we really slept in on the New Year Eve because of the crazy party the previous day and we just relax and walk around the Makati city in the afternoon.
This area is the only downtown area in Manila City and it looks like KL Twin Tower area to me because of the hotels and shopping malls. I did walk around but didn't really buy anything because I'm not really interested in those cheap items and the brands I'm interested in are so much more expensive.
However, we found a very nice resturant for the dinner. We were walking around Green Belt to find a nice place and we come across this one. I like it becuase of the setting and the bright atmosphere. Therefore, I went there to check out the detail. At the beginning, they told us they are fullly booked and we have 8 people, which is not easy to get a table on New Year Eve. But thanks for the nice waitress, they helped us arrange one table becuase it's only reserved at 11pm. Then we can enjoy our dinner.
We order 8 sets of their New Year Dinner with 4 each for one of the main courses as we are thinking to share but the waiters are so considerate to ask the chef to arrange the split portion for us so that we don't need to split the food by ourselves in the end.
A very good dinner and I really enjoy the service. That's the only place I found "Quality Service" in Manila.
